Hats off to you for providing a clear, in-depth tutorial in a game jam! Very impressive. Really liked how the mechanic of the game works together with the music in the background. Clever puzzles too - very impressive!
Thank you! Actually for me the tutorial was the most important part of the whole game to introduce new players to the game mechanic. Thank you for playing!
Although playing this game as a beginner could be a little hard ,but when I adapt it,the little block becomes graceful.
Interesting idea!
Im glad you enjoyed!
Love the minimalist art! The realtime action loop is a really interesting idea! it could be nice to be able to just click to quick add a block.
Well done!
Thank you!
Pretty minimalist, but very interesting, real-time command coding is certainly unique, I think all that's missing is an indicator of where in the loop is the command reader.
Thank you for playing! There is acctually an indicator: The current action block is a little bit bigger when active!
Yeah, I noticed that, but I meant in a way to keep track of it without needing the full bar to be full of blocks, although that makes it a test of timing, so... Maybe it's not needed
Ahh... i see! Thanks for your feedback!
This mechanism has so much potential! what if blocks loop along the music beat? or what if the player can modify blocks only in certain area?
Those guides in wall is also a nice touch, as it plays the role of decorations and hints at the same time.
I'd like to see more of this idea. Well done!
Thank you!
I quite enjoyed myself! A few gripes I have with the game currently is that the levels are a little bit too easy, so most of the time I ended up having 4 movement blocks and I just swapped out the last one for whatever was currently needed. The only times where I really had to change that setup was when I was going the wrong way because I accidentally rotated too many times. But overall this was quite fun with a simplistic artstyle that was pretty nice to look at!
Thank you! The idea is actually, that you have to swap the action blocks and time them correctly. I'm glad you liked it!
Honestly it felt like a more difficult version of moving. I'm not sure what puzzle elements there were, it was mostly just me getting annoyed at my block for rotating too many times, lol.
It's a fun mechanic ^^ Tho I argue that without limitation of what can be deleted and what can be placed at any time is a bit overpowered. It almost makes it "too easy". Tho it could be argued that makes the game more of an active element and for that I do appreciate it. well done ^^
Coded Chaos is like the Action RPG of the logic block puzzle game genera. as you the player can at any moment remove or add a code bock. Thus making the levels a lot more stress inducing than your average run of the mill logic puzzler, and I can say with full confidence that I had a lot of fun with this title.
Tysm!
fun concept! i enjoyed it, though personally it's kind of hard to see the direction the player block is facing because its so dark; while you get used to the rhythm at which the block rotates after a few tries, i failed the tutorial a few times before i got the grasp of it LOL
Glad you enjoyed!
Really fun game
