Your Honor. I stand before this court today not just as a player, but as a victim, a victim of premature dialogue skipping.
While engaging with the defendant’s game, which is a truly delightful concoction of imagination and love, I found myself in a constant battle. You see, Your Honor, I read fast. Faster than the dialogue was dripping onto the screen. Naturally, I tried to speed things up. But instead of moving to the next line of text, the game skipped the entire message.
I wasn’t skipping, Your Honor.. I was ROBBED. Important lore? Gone. Emotional moments? Evaporated. Sarcastic quips? Never even got the chance to roll my eyes.
It is my expert opinion that this constitutes not just a UX flaw, but a full-blown interactive injustice.
And yet… let the record also show: this game? A banger. A masterstroke of creativity. I absolutely adored it. If I weren’t testifying right now, I’d be playing it again.. just slower this time, with trembling fear of the skip button.
