How does your game fit the theme?
A static level is driven by a sort of day/night cycle that dictates the player's every decision. Also they eat fruit loops.

Beautiful. This game is the canon for my game. They are now interconnected. I have decided

This is truly the grain of the world. Really funny game, and good work on the pipe and climbing controls. Felt satisfying crawling around. When I slept and saw the karma system, I LOLed. It's so dramatic LMAO and the sound effects. I will say that the constant rolling sounds and repeating texture in the background was a little weird. But I loved the Karma system and gates.

thank you! Yeah the movement was really hard to tune. Fun fact: tunnels and ropes are almost the same thing under the hood. The only difference is that tunnels are "entered" automatically while ropes make you press the up arrow.

I think I'll try to make my next foray into tilemaps less headache inducing. Thats a good goal.

cereal gang!! my heart genuinely jumped out of my chest when the farmer first showed up. scary stuff. i did beat it and it was all totally worth it for that extra epic ending B)

Such an awesome entry! Fun theme with world building is great. Maybe just repeating and eating same fruit loops were getting lil tedious, but with a little bit more life in this world it would be amazing. Like some predator or something you have to catch/hunt, but even this much made in game jam is pretty cool!

I originally planned on "lizards" (men on all fours with spoons), but I ran out of time. Monk playthrough :))

I don't think they would have worked that well because the existing code was already pretty jank and that would have been amplified by navigation and player character/enemy interactions. It's really frustrating because the world does come off as dry with nothing else in it, and I just don't get dry cereal.

Thank you for playing!

Absolutely incredible. This game has so much content I am really surprised that you were able to pull it off.

Biggest complaint is definitely the control layout. Not what I expected at all but it doesn't detract too much from what is a very funny and surprisingly complete game.

As a fan of both Rain World and cereal in the morning (sometimes oatmeal),  this is pretty funny.
Also I like the spears being spoons. But does the area being a graveyard imply that the walls are made of fruit loop flesh?

front loops are food. You are grain. The cereal graveyard is the dregs of the grain farm in the background- i think. How do you think respawning works?

hahahhahaha amazing concept - I'm blown away by how much it feels like rain world for a 4 day jam.  Tbh I played some rain world but stopped after having a really hard time with the game, but I think this has convinced me to go back and give it another try. The humor is great, the movement feels really clean, and the basic idea of 'what if it was cereal' is perfectly simple and excellently executed.

While it would have been nice to have some more instruction or a little more polish in certain areas (the ui was hard to see against the cereal texture, for example), this is super charming and I enjoyed beating it - definitely would have played more if there was another karma gate and a few more areas :). Great job!
