I know it seems like a small thing but I really liked the phone shaking animation. The artwork is of course more on the crude side, but that animation gave it so much more. I also loved the drawn hand for petting the cat. I just don't understand why the cat is talking to me all week, motivating me? The narrative about the cat could have been clearer I think. I liked that I can skip through dialogue when I am done reading, instead of having to wait.

Thanks for playing! I didn't have time to flesh out the cat, but I'll update the game once the voting's done. Think of the cat as less of a pet and more of a mask that enables the loop.

Made me feel "called out"... still enjoyed it and played till the end.

As game it's not that fun but it is a fun story. Not my cup of tea.

I like the take on the theme :) I also like the doodle feel of the game. I didn't manage to complete the tasks but that seems intentional and I like it. The only thing that I wish was different was the sfx since it was a bit annoying hearing those sounds on repeat. I don't know if you designed it to be as such and of course that's a preference. Great job overall :)

Daily life is really a loop. Art is very unique.

This game definitely accomplishes what it set out to do, which is to say that it is depressingly relatable. The minigames seem unwinnable, but this was obviously intentional. I can't help but wonder what happens if one does pull them off, though. The scratchy drawings and hellish soundscape definitely add to the gloomy atmosphere.

Great work! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go play something more upbeat.

Get motivated! This game is very distressing, partly vn and parts of something like Omori. The white noise, the emptiness, the twitching, the close ups. The sketch look has very high appeal and utility. I can relate at some level, I tend to work deep into the night and it's easy to start avoiding. It's interesting how when you write it out you can see the logic is backwards. You need help, but anyone who may be willing to help is pushed away, and you start something you never finish so all confidence goes away. Spoiler: Ingenious that you can't complete the activities until you know what they are, which is the second playthrough, and that end is genuinely freaky.

Constructive Criticism: I think the UI is pretty distracting. The way the text folds out, the font, the words move onto the next line when outside bounds, and the energy meter feel like they could be improved. I imagine the text is on a phone, but why would it be? (Maybe a though bubble). Sometimes the narrative feels like it's stuffed in to get a point across, preachy, so maybe shorter stream of conscious lines along with playing with the font is worth experimenting worth to really let the cat's feelings sink in.

Thank you for the great feedback, I'll be updating the game after the vote session and this is exactly what I need!

That's great to hear. The fun news is today when I was going to do something I said 'Get motivated' to myself so your game did something!

Developer
