It's hard to even find anything negative with this game. It's just a masterpiece with a brand new mechanic that I have never seen before.

Awesome game! Some small tweaks to the physics would help, but overall itβs exceptional, really well done
On the upside- Really charming game and artstyle! The idea of a game still in development constantly being changed in front of your eyes is fun and unpredictable, and really: who can complain about playing a piece of toast.
On the downside- It's a shame that some levels are unpassable with out one of the jump modifiers, especially since having even one of them makes all the levels super easy, so it's a choice between an unbeatable game or no challange. Also, being able to speed up the dialogue or loading time of the level would have been great. Kinda boring waiting for the conversation to slowly progress just to play a platformer... Also also- the fact that losing a level makes you progress also bums me out. Let me fail and try again!

Yes, unfortunately, some of the levels are nearly impassable without modifiers, it's something that sadly slipped past our checks late in development.
And while you don't truly progress when losing, since you instead lose a modifier, we do hear you and think that giving the player the opportunity to retry the level instead of immediately being given a new one would have been a good addition.
We're really happy you enjoyed our game otherwise!

Sorry for the softlocks, we didn't get enough time for playtesting and there are still some bugs, it's hard to get everything perfect within the time :(
At least from my experience the game is quite challenging once you've played for a while, but i guess it's a matter of taste, not everyone will like our game. The part of getting mechanics removed was to let the player see other mechanics, and it also helped the game fit the theme, i would agree it might be too much having them removed before you get used to them so thanks for pointing that out.
About the chat, conversations give you a hint on what's being added and removed, we also wanted to give the feeling that you are having a conversation in a discord chat (it usually takes some time in between messages, but shouldn't be too much). We tried to make the conversations entertaining and didn't want the player to ignore them, and if you are bored you can even type something yourself!

That's not a feature, it's a bug!
Levels don't load after writing, that's an issue with the web version, please consider downloading the game so you can get the full experience. We would like people to fully experience the game with all the crazy stuff it has, sorry for the inconveniece :(

Thanks for the kind review! The wall friction is still present in the Windows version albeit not as strong, but several other shortcomings you might have encountered while playing the web version are not present in the Windows version.

Sorry for the physics, there is also one level that might get you softlocked but levels are random so it's hard to predict :(
Maybe if you give it another shot you might unlock a wall jump... or double jump... maybe you could switch gravity, you wouldn't get stuck if you could switch gravity.
There are endless combinations and every playthrough is unique, the game is fully replayable and you might discover new mechanics you've never seen before :)
(we also reccomend the downloadable version as the WebGL might be missing some core features, it depends on the browser and the device)

(this game is SO so charming!! i really love the visuals, thematic, and audio design in particular <3 also a big fan of being a talking toaster haha. incredibly work <3!!)
Super creative interpretation of the theme! Being able to actually talk in the discord chat is such a cute detail, and the pixel art is all really nice. I did think the platformer physics could use some fine tuning, but this was a really charming game. Great job!
