Elephant in The Room (Itch's new NSFW changes)

Wanted to make a post and ask about the status of the jam with the Itch changes. Currently, NSFW games are de-listed, but people think it's quickly going to lead to a complete ban on NSFW.

Is the jam going to continue normally, or is it going to be hosted from somewhere else? I know itch is the best for jams with all the quality of life features, but it's not the most secure at the moment.

Update on NSFW content - itch.io

with the short notice we are just going to proceed as planned and hope for the best. We'll try and get permission to mirror things over on the WeightGaming forums as well.

Seems like the best option. There's definitely a backlash brewing to this so I think there's still reason to hope that some of this is going to get walked back.

We've added a section on Weight Gaming for keeping track of everyone's submission. Itch's deindexing of NSFW games will likely continue throughout the jam so we will use this forum section to allow everyone to find your entry. The Jam will still be conduction over here on itch unless they ban all NSFW games sometime in the future. If that happens we'll transition fully to using the Weight Gaming forum.

Icedev and I will be in charge of making the topics on Weight Gaming for you. You are welcome to post in them.

In case you aren't aware, itch has begun reindexing adult NSFW games that don't take payment. This means that as long as you don't turn donations on for your Jam entry, people will be able to find it in search.

It's up to you if you want to do this as we'll still be posting your entries on Weight Gaming so they'll be searchable over there too.

Glad to hear things are back to a better state before the jam.
