Workaround for Adult Creators?

I don't know how feasable this is for NSFW artists, but in light of content being re-listed if it's made free, what if you made your NSFW content free but link to an alternate SFW project with the right price/pay what you want? That way your content can still be listed and people can pay you for your work without the payment processors freaking out! Any idea if something like that would work?

Make a demo hosted on Itch and host the full version elsewhere.

In other words, as well as dealing with pirating sites taking games, developers are now being told officially to either work for free or not be able to sell your games. Yeah, thanks itch, great compromise there.

Supposedly, payment on NSFW content will be restored once Itch has a new Payment Processor.

Though if that's not in place in a month or so I'm gonna have to give 'em the side-eye.

Maybe.

I’ll point out this is against Stripe’s current policy. If any of your published work contains adult sexual content, then you don’t want to rely on Stripe for payment processing.

(That’s assuming Itch.io hasn’t made the choice for us all by disconnecting Stripe accounts of creators whose pages were deindexed. Someone mentioned that as a possibility? I’m a little lost in what’s really happening. The official communication has been… weak.)
