History has shown us that when we try to appease the bigots, the bigots grow bolder. Furthermore...no, itch.io is not the last platform standing, because their actions during this incident have already shown how little they care. I understand that they have to keep the lights on; so do we. I understand that they were given an ultimatum by payment processors; look how they responded. We have seen this exact situation, this cycle of embracing adult content only to turn around and censor it after getting big, play out time and again--Paypal being the most famous instance. It's all well and good to talk about how itch.io is the last bastion of decent people, but they aren't. I cannot do business with someone who could take my money from me at any moment. We absolutely have to make sure they never pull this kind of shit again, and the best way to do that is to make it absolutely clear that this behavior is unacceptable.

Itch.io, Steam among other platforms didn't have any choice.

They had too in order to keep money flowing, that's how a business works; it's not all good times and sunshine here, what did you expect them TO DO IMMEDIATELY? Boycott the Payment Processors? They are the one's giving you your business making sure the money reaches your pocket's!

Make every title in the catalogue free? Dev's can't get paid and noone likes to do this.

Pissed off at the immediate response to BAN every NSFW title? Those game's have been De-Indexed, meaning you can't reach them normally, you just need to reach the webpage it's held which a LOT of people are re-indexing their games to a fourm post already to regain access back. If they wanted to ban those titles, it would been easier to delete them from the catalogue which they didn't! There might be some gone, but once the mess is cleared, you can head back and make one anew + Someone has taken the time to re-index the de-indexed games, or a least a lot of them.

Instead of acting on rage, expecting the world to cow-tow to you for clout and throwing up information, which the article was a nifty read; thanks for that one, is it better to ask than to INSULT and PAUSE FOR ONCE?! Noone wants what's happening and everyone is TRYING to do something new by looking for new solutions? Even make better ones?

Dude... Just chill.

They had a problem shown to them, and instead of sharing the impact, dumped it all on the consumer and creators. The very people who give them their lights in the first place.

It wasn't them against another company whom they owe nothing, it was them against their own 'employees' who they certainly do owe. "Look how they responded" is right.
