Hey I just started this tutorial, it looks really good. It really feels like a game, it's really something. The tile system is phenomenal and looks and operates really well! I hope you enjoy the process as you keep working on it and post it back on here after you are done.

Interesting game, obviously its unfinished (and thats completely okay) but it was really fun and i can see the potential. Good job

I would love to hear your thoughts on my game as well if you have the time

really a great game I really liked it for the first time it’s one of the best of yours🫂🤌👍

i did not expect to have a RTS or City building game depending on what your direction is in the future. The game is fun , would love to have more thing to do , cuz there isnt much now. Would love if you try my game

Developer

Thanks! It will be more of a puzzle game, but I do plan on using it as a base for a future City Builder since I'm a long time fan of the work of Impression Games, the likes of Pharao. I will definitly try your game :).

I had done this course from Firebelley, so I know what to expect from it in the first place. I understand that you made it with GDScript instead of C# as an exercise. For me, I think the base game in the course is interesting, and it would have been better to see if you had come up with new mechanics that was built on top of it.

Developer

I totally agree with you, but sadly run out of time. I do plan on continue with this after the Jam is done :). Thank you for your honest feedback.

Good start to a game! I think a little tutorial would be beneficial. Also an undo button or reset button, since I mis clicked a few times and had to restart the page. I liked the third puzzle. I think it's definitely worth making a few more! I also liked the assets you used. Nice job

Developer

Thank you! you are correct about it needing a Tutorial. I need to clarify that you can delete buildings a recover it's cost at any time.

it was a really fun game I wish it had more than three level thou.

Pretty easy and good looking game, would love more content and sounds!

Developer

Thank you!! I plan to continue this after the jam is done.

Apart from the options menu not opening for me (probably an internet bug) I thought the game was really interesting and looked really pretty

Developer

The options was not fully implemented and forgot the gray it out. Thanks for pointing that out!.

Was a little bit confused as to how wood was being gathered but figured out I get wood when placing the wood collector in specific spots? Maybe a little bit of feedback to the player what is happening there would be great. Also didn't seem to be able to restart the level when I got stuck, had to refresh the whole page.
Otherwise, nice game :)

Developer

Yes indeed, I'm missing some visual ques the show when wood is collected. Do you mind telling me how you got stuck so that I can fix that? you can sell buildings for the full price if you misplace them. Thanks for the feedback.

Submitted(+1)

I originally missed that you can sell to get wood back so was looking for a way to restart the level, on my second play through I realized you can sell to get your wood back :) I forgot to mention in my first post as well, seems I couldn't progress past level 4 I think it it was, nothing happened when clicking next level

Submitted(+1)

I had fun playing! I think after the 4th level I got the Next Level popup but when I clicked it it didn't take me to the next level, not sure if that was the last level or if it bugged out. Great job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing!. Yes, the third level is the final and wasn't able to change the button text.

Feels very cozy :)

It took me a minute to figure out that resources are collected on placement, but then it was a nice little puzzle game

Developer

Thank you!!

Nice game, with potential ! A animation when you get the wood could make it more clear, but one you get it, it's fun !

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, and yes, it would benefit for some animations indeed. Was planned but didn't had the time to finish it properly.

Submitted(+2)

keep working on the game as it feels very cozy.

Developer

Thank you! I will once the jam is done :D

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

The game has potential but my village didnt give me any wood in 5 minutes, which meant i couldnt continue playing

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I'm still missing the animation to show when woods is collected, which is upon placement!.

Isn't this is the tutorial from Firebelley games?

Developer

Its is . I rewrote it from C# to gdscript as a learning excersise since I've started as a Unity developer. Wasn't able to reach a point where it wouldn't look like an asset flip, but since it's not completed, I don't think it will be stealing any winning prizes from anybody. I'm using this oportunity to get feedback for improvements.

Submitted(+1)

Gotcha,  no I was not accusing you of stealing. Merely just curious. I was also wondering about that c# portion of that as I thought c# Godot games could not be exported for web, but that makes perfect sense.

This is pretty fun. I actually have this tutorial just haven't started it yet. Seems like porting it over to GD script was too much of an issue for you. Nice work.
