Really nice job, especially for your fist time working with Godot. The parallax backgrounds were nice and I thought the character controls felt very snappy. There's lots of attention to detail in here, too! The enemy attacks are really communicated clearly with plenty of windup, and there's good feedback when you're attacking and when you hit an enemy. It was a little hard to see the green guys on the green forest background but that's not a big deal. Wish the boss fight was working haha. If you had more time I would recommend getting to know the camera and figuring out how to make it feel good - it's a super underrated part of platformer design that most people don't think about. I'm not saying what you did was bad, it's totally fine and honestly I'd do exactly the same for a jam game, I just mean that would be a natural next step in my mind :) Really impressive work for only 5 days, that's a lot to pack in here.

Thank you so much! Yeah, it’s a shame the boss didn’t work in the end.
The goblins were meant to be a little sneaky, but i know what you mean.
About the camera, i actually tried using the default smoothing in Godot, but it made the pixel art look blurry, so I removed it but after seeing how other platformers handled the camera in the jam, I definitely wish I had done more with it!

Yeah the default smoothing in Godot can be a little janky to work with, especially with pixel art. There might be some good camera plugins out there in the asset library to check before your next jam. Don't be like me, I spent like 3 weeks just on writing a custom camera script for another game I'm working on LOL. On the bright side, I think it feels really good now! haha
