Ok, this was literally my first experience PLAYING a deck builder turn based thing game. Ive always been just scared to try them cuz they would be too complicated for me xD

First.. That cat art on the main menu was PEAK, not just that, the overall art and music and just the complete atmosphere was JUST TOO GOOD.

I srsly cannot believe you guys made such a complicated, beautiful looking and polished game in just 10 days.. Cudos to you gguys!

I also love that the cat goes from bossing you around to meow meow xD

For the game, again. Im srsly impressed on how many different cards you managed to add how many different cards (WITH unique art for each!)

The tutorial was really helpful for me especially as this was my first experience.  It explained things nicely.
Tho, I did get a bit confused between morale and motivation as they did completely different things but are similar words. I did feel it was a bit too easy, especially cuz of the quantity of cards that required 0 motivation to use, but ig that did help me clear the bosses xD

Other than that, another suggestion: When u initially start looking for cards and get one, I wish there was a prompt telling you that you got the card.. When the cat asked me to look for cards and I looked around and went back to the cat, I was a bit confused bout where to even look for them. When the case was that I already got every card xD

Overall, Great art, music and atmosphere! I loved the amount of polish and content in the game. My only complaint would be: I expected this to be a game about MAKING games, but it was more like you were playing the deck builder game instead of making it. Also im not sure how deck builders are usually, but I didnt notice some unique mechanic or spin on the idea.

Anyways, great job you guys. You guys definitely did an amazing job here! Especially for your first jam

Thanks for such a long review! We had a phrase that tells you when you find a card in object, but it stopped working somewhere down the pipeline for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.  We probably made a balance a little too easy for player, but we were concerned about players being lost and not being able to find all cards or buy them from shop, cause those mechanics are not properly introduced.

The idea for the game was that a character is kicking off his game dev career and finally starts to learn game dev while also defeating his fears and bad habits like sloth or imposter syndrome while doing all of the stuff listed on cards like: watching tutorials, reading documentation etc. And in the end you finally defeat the fears and make your first game. Although we forgot to include the winning screen that would make it a more finished story.

Now that you mention it, its so obvious by the bosses and card's names xD
And its actually clever!

And I absolutely get the balancing decision, I mean I wish I did that too in my game. I acutally did make them easier (and more buggy) but ig that still wasnt enough xD. 

Still, you guys did a great job on this one! The game was still fun and engaging.

And also thanks for introducing me to the deck builder genre lmao.
