Hey! Cool game! Sharing health and ammo into the same resource pool it's a super interesting design decision, GJ on that! I think shooting with the left arrow was a little weird tho, but, overall, nice work!

Interesting how you need to keep your health up by not shooting and being forced to eat different fruits, exploring all the varieies. My favorite was definetely the blue berry. I think it would be nice to be able to move around freely but maybe it does not compliment what you were going for. Also game got faster at somepoint,, I think it could go even faster. Very good enemy and weapon design adding some complexity. Art is lovely as well. Nice work!

Very cool idea, I think using health for ammo and then having to eat the fruits to regain it works in interesting ways, it keeps you switching weapons never allowing you to stick with just one thing and forces you to make decisions on when it's a good time to spend health.
Only issue I have is that it's a bit too easy, so the only way I was losing health was if I decided to shoot. I think you got a solid idea you can run with though.

it's a fun game but unfortunately after 15 minutes it didn't seem to get challenging and I decided to call it quits
I didn't really see a reason use the shooting mechanic and I only lost HP when intentionally running into enemies to see what would happen
definitely a basis for something fun, with some more intense difficulty scaling
when i played it did seem like it was easy but thought it was because i played like 10 times to test it

Very nice graphics! My only wish was a 'speed-up' button the beginning of the game is so slow :) But it's a nice jam entry for sure!

This worked well for the theme. The controls were simple and easy. It did feel like you could go on forever pretty easily and was a bit repetitive. Perhaps there could be a little something more to provide a push. It was not hard to avoid the enemies, so you did not have to shoot if you were low on health or wanted to wait for a different food. Perhaps losing health slowly over time and therefore needing to eat more food, instead of easily ignoring any that are inconvenient, would provide that extra push. Being a keyboard based game it would be nice if the UI elements grabbed focus so you could interact with them using the keyboard as well.
