despite you doing it all by yourself, this game has its charm. Graphics are simple but solid, the game mechanics works as intended and we got a few levels to play. It's a very good entry for the jam. Nicely done!

I thought the vacuum mechanic—sucking things up and shooting them out—was a fun concept, and the sound that went with it fit nicely too 😊

I read that you had a lot more planned for the game, but with game jams, time is always a challenge when trying to implement everything.

Still, what you managed to create is a fun and simple game that serves as a solid foundation for more!
Keep it going like this 💪

I like the concept! The game froze for me sometimes but overall I enjoyed sucking the items and shooting them out! Great work :D

GAMEPLAY: Fairly linear--I hold the right mouse until I see someone (or they shoot at me before I see them), then spam the left mouse until they're dead. I like the vacuum concept, though, and could see it being quite fun on a larger level with more options and item variety (like what you've done for the ice bucket). That may be outside your scope for this jam, but I could see you taking these mechanics and expanding them later. I died a few minutes in from being shot during an elevator transition, which made me quit the game entirely. Normally, transitions like that give a bit of invulnerability, though you could also try to place enemies to avoid that being possible.

VISUALS: Don't be too hard on yourself--while this certainly isn't professional pixel art, it's got character to it that I like. There's a few odd things: the dialogue isn't fixed to the screen, the font makes 3's and 8's look alike, objects don't fall when partially sucked (the player has gravity, just put some there).

SOUND: Another victim of forgetting to loop music (specifically the menu and tutorial). I almost did this, too. It's a hard one to catch when you're speeding through playtesting, but fortunately an easy fix. Love the choice of noir-style jazz. Not bad choices of sound effects, though maybe I just giggle too much at offscreen glass shattering. I see what you're doing with the vacuuming sounds, which is a good idea, but there seems to be a large gap between "starting" and "continuing".

THEME: Sucking various objects up and spitting them out fits the bill, but you could definitely go further. I was itchin' to hurl a table at someone.

thank you playing and for your valuable feedback! I definitely plan on revising this project in the future, so if you still have the itch to throw a table, consider revisiting in a few weeks to check out a better product!

INCREDIBLE JOB! I absolutely loved the concept and had a great time playing your game. The gameplay was solid, and the art—while simple—was clear, charming, and really fit the vibe. I did run into a few glitches where the game froze in some rooms or elevators, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience. This game is seriously impressive—congratulations on your work! With refined visuals, some cutscenes, and a bit more polish, I can totally see this turning into a full release on major platforms. I loved it!

Developer

Thank you! I might revisit this project in the future to refine it

Super creative and rich in personality!

This is such a fun idea, the concept of running around with a giant vaccum and sucking up all the items, only to unleash them in a raw flurry at the sight of any danger. So satisfying!

The sound effects were wonderful, and the hyper-realistic vacuum sound was pretty fun. I loved spitting out all the items at once and listening to them all break at once.

There were parts of the graphics that seemed unfinished, which did take away from the overall atmosphere. However, the art that was complete was very good and matched the humorous style of the game.

Well done! This is a well-thought-out concept full of so much personality, and a really great interpretation of the theme :)

Don't doubt yourself man! I had a ton of fun playing this and laughed a lot! I love the voice acting and the artwork is great! The music was also perfect for the game! Sure it might not be the highest quality game, but it was a lot of fun! Keep it up!

Developer

The idea is nice however there are many things that i am clueless on either how to use or what their supposed to be like the black rectangles which i prosume are doors, once i died after having tooken an elevator.

Developer

yeah I get that, I had bigger plans for this but most of it was cut short unfortunately, it’s not a great game but eh
