Interesting game, funnily enough, I tried to make this exact concept a few years back (a horror game where you’re in a cave, have to find dynamite to escape, and have to avoid a monster that can hear you).

I also think having to choose between the gun and the flashlight is a good design choice, I was frequently in a position where I was exploring the level, got the film grain effect on screen, and frantically rushed to pull out the gun.

Oh also, I used Edge instead of Chrome so I had some performance issues, which I am curious about. I wonder what could’ve caused them, this should be a fairly light game due to the artstyle (not a ton of polygons to render + most geometry is static + there didn’t seem to be any crazy lighting setups)

The game ran well for most playtests, so not sure either, but most were on Chrome so hard to say.

Thanks for playing!

I added a Windows build to the page if you'd like to try that instead. Thanks for playing!

Anecdotal, but I noticed I got a few frames of lag when new SF X were about to play -- I suspect they're being streamed (in a blocking way) on some or all browsers
