It's very good! It's intense, the enemy designs are cool. I didn't really know what difference the other weapons made though. Still, I enjoyed it a lot!

Really good work for 7 days time. Sound quality is nice, and the game ran smooth. Sunglasses on the penguin was a fun touch. The homing missle and cannon was nice touch to add some pressure and get players in the zone.  A few things that could add some quality of life would be a quick tip tutorial, different difficulties like giving more hearts for easier settings etc., and a sound on/off button. Also it seemed like sometimes I would lose a heart when I didn't notice hitting anything. I understand there was a time limit, so these are just some minor things I think. Overall it was a fun and challenging game that made me want to keep trying until I beat it! 5/5

thank you soo much

Thank you for the awesome feedback! The quick tip tutorial would be a nice touch, since it is a little fast paced from the start. Instead of different difficulties I think making it scale would be a better option. Like, have it start slow then over time the interval between the obstacles spawning would be shorter.  Will definitely work on the colliders to try and get that fixed. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

i like the whole recoil-based-movment subgenre of shooters, but i think that the hitboxes are a bit large on the obstacles, plus no sound or visual effect when you get hit makes it feel like you die out of nowhere over and over again. i saw lots of powerups when i tried the game enough, it would be cool if shooting crates could make them appear or something because i rarely saw them and they were pretty cool from what i could tell.

Great feedback! Yeah, the sound we noticed that it didnt trigger too, but the jam didnt allow us enough time to get that fixed. Currently, Nearfar has worked on a fix on that and I will update the itch page with the corrected version soon. Its good to know about the obstacle hit boxes and it makes a lot of sense! Will keep that in mind. We originally had the idea of the player being able to destroy obstacles and being rewarded by doing so. In the future, we definitely plan on making obstacles drop items (maybe even coins to buy upgrades and cosmetics). Thanks for taking the time to play and review our game!

I like this, the art is pretty cool, and the gameplay is pretty unique! I like that you need to move using the gun's recoil, and that you need to simultaneously defeat enemies and avoid obstacles. The sound effects were also pretty nice.

I think the game could benefit a lot from faster movement, specially considering it's a fast-paced game. Aim also felt just a bit weird (though it's not that big of a problem and could just be me)

I really like this one, and I think this has great potential, good job!

Thanks for the compliments and all your feedback! I’ll work and making the movement feel better and I may know what you mean about the aim 👍👍👍

I liked the main menu and penguin! - it was really cool! Although trying to play 5 times and didn't get how far penguin was from the land. Maybe resizing it from very big to tiny small will help to understand distance left to land.

Interesting game. Was a little difficult for me as  I have multiple monitors so I kept clicking outside the screen and pausing the game. Loved the  audio!

Developer

that’s pretty funny actually lol. I didn’t even imagine that being an issue. Glad you liked it!

Good Game

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

I found a weapon that shoots zombie's hands. The movement needs time to get used to but I think that's the nature of this type of game.  Anyway, the game is fun. Good Job!

Thanks! We will try to think of something to make our game easier to understand. I agree its a little difficult to get the hang of lol

I added a pop up im the start menu that explains the movement a little more! Hope that helps
