my idea is a 2d game about Underwater cave diving

We're  going to big procedural level with all kinds of crazy caves and dead ends that you can swim around in.

While you are  swimming around, you find gold which you have to drag back up to the camp.

Then when you're back at the camp, you can upgrade your stuff,  get items that'll help you and get less lost and dive deeper. 

And then when you  dive deeper,  you get more gold .
