That is strange that you couldn't get the cam to face forward. Once you hit the forward thrust (left mouse) while above an altitude of 300 the camera should follow and rotate with the player. The mouse-look camera is only at low altitudes, for take-off and landing.

It was something that I was working on right up to the deadline so I'm sure there are bugs and exceptions.

Maybe a better way would be to always have the cam rotate with the player and face forward, but have OPTION of mouse-look, which can be toggled on and off.

Yeah, I can image how difficult that mechanic was.

I think I have fixed the bug with the Mouse-Look camera. Please could you have a quick look and tell me if you think there is an improvement.

Yeah it feels much better no mouse issue. When flying though your thrust is vertical but you can't look where you're going. Maybe on fly mode have the camera facing the movement vector so you can tell which direction your moving, Once you're out in space it's really difficult to sense direction. But massive improvement.

"When flying though your thrust is vertical but you can't look where you're going" I'm not sure what you mean by this. There are 3 thrusts, up forward and back. So you can just thrust forward (Left Mouse) and go in the direction you are facing.

Maybe it's too confusing. I'm proud of some of the technical things in this game, but if I'm being honest, it isn't fun. I just ran out of time. Now that the crunch of the jam is over I can look back and think about what I could have done to make it more fun and more user friendly.

Thanks for the feedback

Totally understand. What I mean is the thrust feels like you are moving in the z axis but the camera faces in the y or x (depending on how you want to think of it) So I feel like I'm moving up but I'm not looking where I'm going, if that makes more sense lol.
