Short and sweet game! The sound it makes when you abduct are very goofy and I enjoyed them haha. I initially thought the game broke because the saucer wasn't abducting anyone but it took me two attempts of the game to understand how it worked and that I had to deposit what I had taken into the bigger station like an alien bank!
I like the art style and how you did the shadows and abducting FX and it has decently good replay-ability until you max out what you think your best is. The ambiance sounded serious but the goofy sounds made it funny so I took it to mean an intentional clash for the humour. Still I enjoyed it and I had no performance issues!
I'm happy you liked it, the sound was added like 5 minutes before before a local blackout so I didn't had time to look for a more fitting one, perks of living in Cuba hahaha
I had fun playing this game, it was short and sweet.
I think the final score keeps getting added to, so I'm not sure what my best run is!
Good work!
Now that you sayd it, I thing I never reset the counters hahaha
It's a good concept, the ship could go a little faster and i make the drop of aducted in the mothership automatically, to make the game more dynamic.
maybe made the mother ship moving in a patterns so you have to plan a strategy to collect the most in base of that, with several levels.
the original idea was to add upgrades to the ship speed and capacity and a more complete gameplay, but in game jams the time is not your friend hahaha
Great game! Controls are smooth, artwork is cute and coherent, sound effects are effective... really nothing to complain about. Sure, the main menu looks rather hastily assembled, but that's a game jam for you — and it doesn't impact gameplay at all. Nice work!
Fun little game. The concept is pretty simple, but that works in its favor. The game was super easy to pickup and get going. The visual and audio feedback from catching people really went a long way, and gave me a good chuckle.
Great job!
This is super cool and actually really similar to the initial idea I had for the jam! You executed it much better than I would have for sure haha. I really like the mechanic where you can accidentally pick up junk and that ends up taking inventory space, it adds to the experience for sure!
Awesome job, thanks for sharing!
Good effort, liked the art, there's a tiny mistake at the game over screen where it says: "whell" instead of well, great job!
Ups, sorry about the typo, english is not my first language and I was hurry haha, thanks for playing
Of course, nothing to be ashamed of, just thought it was nice to point it out, have a great day!
Nice little game, i didnt realise there was good and bad things to pick up at first, so i delivered mostly boxes and fire hydrants at first!
Yeah, I should've make it more clear that the objects are not supposed to be picked up . Glad you like either way
You made it highlight red in the inventory so it was mostly me not paying attention to the colours, maybe just a small positive sound when you collect a human and negative when you collect an object could help give instant distinction.
That's a good idea, depending on how the game is rated I will polish it up and add important things that are missing
fun little game looks and feels super nice well done!
It's a neat little game, and it plays well. Found no bugs
Thnak you, glad you liked it
Very simple yet well done game ! Congrats !
thanks : ), I wish I could've made a proper main menu though
