The vibes and art are absolutely on point in this game. Really put me on edge and got me into the game. I couldn't really tell what my actions were doing during the game, whether I was playing well or not. Love the aesthetic but some better feedback about what I am doing and whether I am doing it well would be good

Thank you for the feedback! Thinking about it, the enemy feedback is indeed a large issue in this game and we will do our best to fix that in coming updates, thank you for bringing it to our attention! And it is nice to hear the vibes hit the spot! Its much easier to fix some broken systems than improve how a game feels

This is great! Its my favorite game of this Jam so far! The art is great and it fits the horror theme very well. It looks like a mix of FNAF but with SCP, and I love that. My only critique is that sometimes the game play feels a bit to slow, but maybe that helps making the game scarier. And the UI could have some more work. But besides that, I look forward to se more updates :D

Im glad to hear you liked it! FNAF was the primary game this was based on and then SCP was light inspiration, so im glad both themes were noticed! The balancing does indeed need some work, I did not have much time to fine tune all the values, but in future it will definitely be better! UI is a bit clunky in my opinion and I'll have to spend some time to see what I can do for it.

Really good base game idea and loop. The character designs are very cool  and perfectly match the scary vibe. it feels like it could just fit in perfectly with the SCP series. I wish you had more time to finish the game :) it was fun. Getting upgrades from the shop will be very interesting for the gameplay.  For critiques: I wish there was more audio design for the scary vibe and ( im not sure how ) if there was more clues on what tool / technique to stop the creatures.

Aww thanks for the kind words! I was using SCP for some inspirations so glad it matches to their vibes. Our audio designer was working hard at those bangin music tracks so he only had a few hours to do sound, well hopefully get it nice an wrapped up fully after the jam! The monster currently are just trial and error with their weaknesses. I need to figure out a way to easily indicate it to players.

The game is really cool !

The atmosphere is well created, the monsters are nicely designed and the gameplay really smooth.

There is juste 1 monster that I still don't undertsand the pattern, always coming to end me :(

Developer(+1)

Im glad to hear you liked it! Which monster is difficult to grasp for you?

Submitted(+1)

That would be the one grabbing the camera in your screenshot I think :)

Ahhh yeah, I had some difficulty with his AI, so I removed a bit of code and he's pretty aggressive now... He's also immune to the EMP so you just need to catch him in time with the flashlight.

Ah ok, guess I will have to play again to try that ;à

One of the most impressing game i've tested yet.
Not ont the gameplay part but more on the aspect and horror feeling working well.

My main reserves are about gameplay, i didn't understand well how my actions were doing anything ? I was trying to flash them, emp them block them behind the door but i didn't really get what was in fact helping or not.

And i ended twice with a (really cool btw) screamer without even getting why.

Anyway pretty impressive again, good job !

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!

Yes, the feedback for the actions are not very good. We didnt manage to get proper feedback for doing things to monsters. Also certain monsters are immune to certain effect which is not properly explained anywhere. So its not the best for user experience. They are all immune to the effect as well until they try to escape, if they are in their cells, they ignore you. Probably should find a way to improve that as well...

The jumpscares happen when a monster goes down the final sets of stairs... again not well explained, im not quite sure how to improve the idea of that one though ><

Thanks for playing!!!

Ooooh ok i really didn't get the stairs stuff, probably what is missing the most indeed. I'll give another try knowing all of these ;)

quite an interesting idea! altough it kinda feels like a scratch game, i dont know why but just feels like it.

Developer

Thank you! Do you mean like scratch the visual coding engine?

Submitted(+1)

Yeah it feels very weird I don't know how to describe it.

Developer

Haha, i can kind of get the vibe, also difficult to explain :p
