I'm impressed with what you achieved here for the jam. A lane based card battler. Took a bit of clicking to know how to play the game. I'm familiar with card based games so I managed to guess what the ui was telling me but some text to tell me what the numbers meant would be handy. And a tutorial to save clicking loads at the start to see how to play haha.

I had fun playing this. It started to get particularly fun about 3 minutes in. Think about your game jam audience. They want to get into the action really quickly so you could set the difficulty to be more challenging from the start. Also some quick wins from a visual stand point would be giving different colours to the player and the obstacles and the floor.
The art for the game was just perfect! loved it. Though I would suggest to use a more contrasting coloured arrow for the objective as it is a blue arrow on a blue background. I think something that would elevate the gameplay is more choices for the player. In the time that I played it I don't think I encountered many choices to make. I pretty much always just went straight towards the objective.
Such a great idea for a game. I think it is worth pursuing! I didn't finish a single level though as my actual cursor kept moving outside of the game window and made me lose. I loved feeling out the controls as I moved the cursor around though! Took a fun level of concentration and was fun to laugh at myself when I failed :P
The vibes and art are absolutely on point in this game. Really put me on edge and got me into the game. I couldn't really tell what my actions were doing during the game, whether I was playing well or not. Love the aesthetic but some better feedback about what I am doing and whether I am doing it well would be good
Fantastic game!! I unfortunately dropped off at around level 15 as it was getting too hard for me. You could track how many attempts each level takes and then order the levels based on how hard they are. I'd suggest that they aren't then simply put in ascending order of difficulty. You could give the player easier levels after a hard one to give them a break
Absolute top notch animation. The eating animation from the big pumpkin was so satisfying. I did get a little tired of running back and forth so didn't feed him till he was full. The map could've been more fun to explore if there were different heights to go up and down. Or maybe a smaller play area but with candies more hidden would've been a more hide and seek type game. Enjoyed what I did play :)
