I enjoyed playing the game. It has a really relaxing vibe, There were a few bugs here and there. I wish there were a variety of different levels to make it more engrossing. Also, not losing everything when you die takes away the challenge, making the game less engaging rather than more. Please check out our game.

The setting has just enough mystery that makes me want to explore! I had a fun time collecting items, but I feel like the air quality meter didn't give me enough time to explore the outside and progress in the game. I love the home base, and it was a fun surprise to see other characters pop up throughout my playthrough!

Developer

Thank you for playing! As you do clean up trash your air meter will deplete slower, allowing you to explore further and further, so that is quite intentional. We can definitely aim to make that clearer in future builds. Appreciate the feedback!

I enjoyed this game, it's really chill. I really enjoyed the soundtrack and animations in this game. I feel like there needs to be way more variation in the mechanics in this game; it feels repetitive even in different environments. There also needs to be a way to punish the player when they die and a way for the player to retrieve a little bit of "oxygen" so they can keep exploring different areas.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing our game!! I agree we could have add some variation there, definitely something for us to keep in mind next time!

And good tips! I think we want to try and implement those in our polished build!

Chill game with great music! The art and animations feel nice, and the platforming is a nice level of difficulty. I did manage to get stuck in an infinite fall loop a couple of times by landing just on the edge of items... and once on ol Thump's head (sorry Thump!)  and had to restart, but I did enjoy the overall vibes ^^

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed! That bug is a noted one that we've already stamped out for the next build, but I am sorry you ran into it. Thump is a tough cookie though so I'm sure he'll be fine lol. Again appreciate the feedback!

okay, played this game a bit, I get the idea.

It is interesting that this game is similar to mine, but instead of needing to stay in the light, you have he careful of your movement, as you deplete health whenever you move and gain full health after going back home, I can see a lot in this.

but the gameplay isn't really that enjoyable, as most of it is go to a place to clean up, press button and go to the next one, there is platforming, but it's the same platforms over and over. I get there are more platforms, but again, in order to get there with still full health, you have to do the same platforms again and again. while I understand the loop to do the platforms and clean up so the air becomes clearer, it does get a little repetitive after doing it too many times

it's a good concept and I can see a lot more to it, but it still need something more to make the game interesting and the levels need to change once in awhile so I'm stuck doing the same level, even if it looks different, the platforms remain the same.

overall, interesting game, but only for a short while.

Overall, I felt a very chill vibe when playing Susurrae. I really liked the oxygen mechanic idea which at first added some light tension, but once I realized there was no consequences for dying, I felt like I did not need to come back in time. A suggestion would be to maybe have the player lose some resources when they die. I thought the greenhouse -style snowglobe drone was neat and added a lot of charm to this game. Some sound cues or general feedback when oxygen is low would help, since I found myself running out without realizing. The evolving hub area as I planted compost was a great touch, and I very much appreciate the varied level design between the vertical right side and horizontal left side level layout. Also, your cover is very on point and catchy for this jam. Great job overall!

Aww thank you so much!!! I'm really glad you enjoyed our game. Good suggestions, as well! We plan on making a some more updates to fix bugs and mechanics after submission evaluations!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much!! It's reassuring that your suggestions are already in line with our own, some of which just didn't make into the game in time. We will definitely take note for the future updated build which we've begun working on. Again thanks so much for playing and so glad you enjoyed! It means a lot especially to hear those specific design details came through!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! Definitely have some of these ideas ready to go for the next release – just couldn't quite tune it all in time. Appreciated all the same, and looking forward to trying your game!
