Have you tried Defold? They both use Lua, but I like coding in Defold. The smaller file footprint in Gideros is very appealing though.

Yes I tried defold and many more before (godot, libgdx, love2d, unity, monogame, ...). I find gideros to be the most straightforward framework for both testing (developing) and deploying (web, android, windows, ...).
There are other game engines that look cool: godot, unity, cocos creator, raylib, ...
For now Gideros is my favorite dev tool :-)
