the new download version is pretty laggy. Idk if it's my computer that's bad, but I played the web version (couldn't import my account). Also, light hearted suggestion to make it so that you can toggle the checkpoint respawn.

I don't have a Mac myself so I probably won't be able to solve issues on Mac for now

for the lag, yeah as the game gets bigger, it gets laggier, but optimisations are coming soon i think. for the toggle checkpoint respawn, just press the other keybind. Default: r = checkpoint respawn, t = full respawn. If youre used to pressing r, just switch your keybinds.

Does the game run fine on web but not when downloaded? How big is the difference?

It might be that your downloaded version uses software rendering for some reason

the game still isnt working… accelerate and reverse buttons aren’t functional for some reason…

Could there be a way to make something like the colour picker in the car customisation for blocks in the editor? Also, could you make something like a sliding bar when you click on the angle tab (on the bottom left in the editor) for different track piece angles (as there is only one semi-angled block and it can be annoying to have to work around it)

when you get a checkpoint it saves your position, rotation and velocity so that if you go back to it you get that speed instead of no spee

Like a moving reset, a running start? It would be good ngl. Trackmania uses this as the default. Maybe a double press is a standstill respawn?

Can you add a feature to import irl tracks into polytrack

Suggestion:
Different physics for different surfaces
(slippery for ice, less grip on desert/sand, etc)

that would not work because the ice and stuff is just a theme

What do you mean? they are seperate blocks, and i think that they could have differences besides just being cosmetic.

It would break all popular maps that aren't using the basic surface. This would also make every official track bad, and be a hell to code. However it would be great, its not very realistic for the current state of the game.

yea if kodub does this kind of thing than the game will turn into tm but slap a poly track skin onto it or smth

Maybe make checkpoint order optional, or remove checkpoint order completely, and just make them a requirement to finish regardless of what order they are collected in. This would make finding the optimal route for a map interesting along with finding the lines.

The only problem with that would be that you wouldn't be able to make multilap tracks anymore... Unless changes are made so that the finish block can allow for multiple laps..

Kodub could add a multilap block or 2 different types of checkpoints, but it wouldn't fit in the game nicely. Though ring checkpoints would be nice.

Checkpoints without a specific order might come in the future, but it's not planned anytime soon

Make your place on a leadorboard on a map visible without having to select that map. Your time on a map is visible from the menu, but imo place on leaderboard would be more useful

This would be nice, but I worry it would put too much strain on the leaderboard servers if your position had to be loaded for every track

what if its when u hover on it, so It wouldn't be bad on the servers

Hey! I get random lag spikes after hitting checkpoints.

Hm... I don't see any reason this should happen at checkpoints specifically.

Is it on a specific track or all of them?

(Edit): It may be objects loading in for the first time? After a while it seems to fix (after cookies cleared)

Hm... I don't think so. There shouldn't be anything loading in when checkpoints are passed.
I'll keep an eye out though!

In the editor, when placing blocks by holding down the mouse, then using Z or C to move up or down, when there is a lag spike, it leaves gaps in walls and things when building...

The game just doesnt have enough processing power and framerate to place every block. the only way of combatting this is to imagine the pillar like a line, and if the user is pressing a key for x time, it fills between the two ends, kind of like an auto filler.

Yes, this is how it could be fixed, but I haven't had time yet

i think you should put polytrack on steam because you can get money or choose not to and more people will get it and also you can set up steam workshop

Not too much of a bug, but apparently if you go 999,999,999 blocks out then make a map the car kind of collapses on itself:

Please add different times of day, I need a sunset and night time!!! It would enhance the atmosphere of community maps so much.

It would also be cool if we could change the color of the floor to go along with this

As an example we'd be able to change the floor to grey, or brown, etc. Instead of having to  place thousands of platfroms/blocks

here is a suggestion 

Can you make a feature like the structure block in minecraft?like copy pasting a big build cause it takes a while to make an exact replica of a build

Collisions feel kinda bugged for me. Mostly the track edges can fling the car all over the place which is confusing. Also you can phase into the scenery mountains if you go fast enough. (I play this game too much)
