Very cool and very fun! It goes a little fast haha but it was still fun regardless. Really nice job! Curious to see what amazing projects you could do with more time
Thanks:) My idea was that that the player goes really fast so many opportunities are missed lol
However i could not find the balance between looking at dialogues and actually playing the game, so the gameplay feels off.
Thanks for the review again!
Loved it great gameplay good vfx.sfx.
Thanks for playing:) Yeah for most of the time i spent my time on visual effect lol
Thanks again!
I liked your game so much, it is calming and beautiful... Great work!
Thanks for playing!
Sadly i ran out of time to polish this game, or else more details will be added for the experience. However, I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks again:)
Hi! I really liked how the theme was implemented. I agree with the others that it's quite hard to read and play, but it was still really fun. Congrats!
Thanks for playing!
My balance in multi-tasking was off... sorry for the difficulties in following both the story and the game. My theme implementation was actually my only idea for this theme lol
Thanks again:)
I liked your game, especially how the narrator and the player can interact through gameplay. A loosing condition could be interesting to add as there is not much challenge for now.
Reading and playing at the same time is not especially easy but I totally understand that recording dialogs in 3 hours was not feasible.
I hope you'll keep working on this project, it could lead to something very fun and interesting.
Thanks for the suggestions:)
originally my idea was to set up checkpoints, and the obstacles send you back to the nearest checkpoint. However, to keep the chat process smooth and with my time management issues, that did not happen. Currently this game has no losing conditions as my entire purpose is to make a game where the player wins no matter what:) However, the gameplay is definitely lacking because of that sadly.
Thanks for the review and I could use this as a template for a future project:)
I’m honestly amazed at the beautiful game you’ve developed. Especially some of the insights and the comment in the “first” ending, which made me laugh so much!
Music made the experience more aesthetic, the colors used, the design… All worked fine. The experience of playing and reading is a bit complicated. In this case maybe make the timer of the game go slower for a bit could be better, but in general using the “fog” for the text is cool ^^.
Congratulations!! Is a great project, IMO :)
Thanks for the review:)
I spent most of my 3 hours polishing the visuals and the dialogues, so i didn't have enough time on making the gameplay interesting. My biggest issue was balancing the speed of the player. I tried to make the early exits pretty difficult to react, but i didn't want to rush the text either. Therefore, i created some obstacles to slow down the experience, but it didn't work so well on the gameplay side.
Thanks again! I'm glad you liked it:)
It´s complicated to balancing correctly a game like this with only a 3 hour-limit. With this aspect in mind, the game is cool and works smoothly. In my project, the balancing between the game and the texts also suffer a little, hehe. But, again, 3 hours is so little time for adjusting it.
So, you have to be proud of your game, it´s superb :)
Congratulations for the third position!! IMO, totally deserved :)
Thanks!
Congratulations for 2nd place! To be honest, I feel like all your games in the past jams are super underrated, a lot of them are top 3 in my opinion :)
I think dialogue focused games are just a hit or miss, some people will like it, some people won’t. I was expecting a 10-15th place since my gameplay is barely there:) also shown from my rating distributions, with 11% 1 star lol
Your game this week totally amazed me. The first jam game that made me cry lol
Thank you! Nah, I don´t care about the scoring, I don´t make games to win, but to gain experience in order to express a lot of ideas and give voice to other perspectives hehe. You are right about dialogue games. So, in general jams I try to mix gameplay and narrative, so the gameplay doesn´t suffer a lot.
And… Nope, the idea of the jams like this are not only the fun or the mechanics. The game can have a very simple mechanic like this one of yours, but the concept, the ambient, the message, the idea expressed can be as powerful to the player as the gameplay itself. And you make a little game that tells something important. An idea. In a beautiful manner. So, yo deserve the 3rd position. ^^
PD. Wow. When someone tells me that my games touch his/her heart, for me is the best gift! Thank you.
Hi:) Welcome to this jam page! Feel free to leave any comments towards things I can improve on. I will appreciate it if you find all endings(or at least the final ending) before rating this project! Thanks so much and hopefully you had a great time during the jam!
