You mean like the game you published less than a week ago? Yes, as explained in the post you said you've read, it can take that long. And that's exactly it: unfortunately, a lot of people try to upload all kinds of bad stuff to itch.io, so newly published pages often have to be checked first.
> You mean like the game you published less than a week ago?
Are you trying to be intentionally disingenuous?
The page you are referencing was published in October.

Interesting that I have been writing devlogs for 14 weeks for a game 1 week old.
What about the other 3 pages you intentionally ignored my concerns for?
Some of which were posted around a year ago?
These are not "newly published".
You're right, my bad. I was looking at the wrong field. That said, changes you've made recently can also cause your games to be placed back in the review queue. And which three pages, out of the six games you have published? I looked at the last one, and you're right, but see above.
To answer the question in your post title, site search is intended for players to easily locate games they already know about. It's not a marketing tool. Our admins are asking creators to do their own promotion through other channels rather than rely on itch.io for that.
Both things I've just explained are mentioned in the unofficial FAQ you said you've read.

The last of which has a steam page. I uploaded a playtesting build for a gamejam which was removed after that playtest period.

Here is the quote that tipped me off to this.

Firstly, if it isn't a marketing tool, then nobody should trust it to have sales for their game or generate itch revenue. Probably not a good thing to tell anyone in the community here. Why would I not use itch's game directory if it doesn't sell video games?
Secondly. People only have been finding my games through a direct link to my creator page.
Searches for my titles don't include the 4 above games.
Please, do not disrespect the moderator.
I understand your anger, I am also having issues with the platform that make me feel very bad and frustrated, but the moderator can only relay our complaints to the administrators to try to help us. Let's be thankful that at least he responds quickly. What will we do if more people start bothering him and he ends up stopping responding to our questions and trying to help us? Even if his answers don’t always reassure us, let’s thank him for helping.
I'll respect the moderator when they respect me.
If they have having staffing or response queue issues, that's not really my problem.

When they open with a condescending know it all tone making assumptions without reading they don't deserve my respect.
Just because the forum gets inundated by a bunch of people with the same wearily often problem that it becomes irritating. Does not mean you take it out on the people bringing up that issue.
