What happened to making these for your whole life?

It really feels like some dangerous-only-because-no-one-helps-me people took my saying that as a personal challenge, but I refuse to break my promise even if it means killing myself to satisfy the "my whole life" part, which I really don't want to do, but lately I've been forced into doing a lot of things that I really didn't want to do.

Hey don't do anything you don't want. I was just checking in wondering if you've decided to do other stuff.

That's definitely not a promise you need to keep, to be clear! I saw your update on your website, and I wanted to leave this message to let you know that I'd absolutely consider something of value to be lost, if what's described there were to happen. On Steam you mentioned a couple of other games you wanted to make that I'd love to see, for instance. Gear Gals, especially. It sounded like you even want to work on that game, given you called it 'soul fun'.

What's happened to you over the years... it's clear that it's been awful, and whatever sympathy I can provide as a random internet commentator is obviously not enough. But you do have a community here, however niche and shy, and we would all miss you.

Maybe it's the timing or what you said or how you said it or I don't know I'm tired of writing this, so I'll just say it's your post that made me go "That does it, I'm abandoning my suicide plans and working on Gear Gals now."

Those who hate me can blame you for this.

Oh, well that sounds a lot more positive!  I always say someone should work on what makes them engaged and happy, and never out of any obligation.

That being said, platformers can be a many headed beast when it comes to mechanics, so I wish you the best of luck! 😆  As someone said above, you have a little community that will always be happy to see anything you create, whether it's a crumb or a feast. ❤️

Actually, working on Gear Gals IS being done out of obligation, and that obligation is because I said so.

It's FAR more nuanced that this, and as usual I spent WAY too long trying to figure out how I wanted to write this, but GameosynchronousOrbit's message became the final ingredient to, somehow, turn feelings of "I have to kill myself to prove I'm not a terrible person" into "I have to finish Gear Gals to prove I'm not a terrible person."

And there are a number of reasons why it specifically has to be Gear Gals, some of which being "because I said so," "because it's the game I feel the most confident about finishing," and "because of that tarot card reading I had years ago."
