very nice game! This is actually pretty awesome! I love the Game Loop and the power ups are amazing and fitting to the theme. It was very Hard though. Music was okay.
Overall a very great entry.

How does your game fit the theme?
There are a lot of strange power ups.

There's a lot to love about this game, nice entry! The game loop is a great one I really enjoyed grinding the levels again and again to level up the little guy. I think you nailed the application of the theme, the power ups are unique and interesting, I thought the raining Tetris blocks card was especially awesome. I think the art is adequate in its service of the gameplay, and I appreciated that the UI layout was clear and simple. One thing that would have helped the art would be more consistency across the game in terms of style. For example, the image on the cards are sometimes detailed pixel drawings (e.g. the skull on the "drugs" card) and others are minimalist 2 color layouts (e.g. the falling blocks on the "rain blocks" card). Having a consistent style throughout (not just the cards, but also the environment, menus, etc) will add a lot of cohesion and polished feel to your game. The music was good enough but nothing spectacular. Another critique is that sometimes I would get caught and die and have no idea why. I did not get touched by the enemies and still had health. I think a little more clarity on what caused a game to lose would be nice. Overall, I think you did a great job making a game with a really fun core gameplay loop that fits the theme perfectly. Keep up the great work!
Whoa thanks for the great feedback :D, I am glad you enjoyed it, you are completely right about consistency, I couldn't arrange it in time :D .
Cause of death might be enemy bullets (heal balls). And actually you lose when you are overhealed, and you win when you die :D (You go to your own world when you die.)
A really challenging but enjoyable game😊!
I died quite often and quickly until I somewhat figured out how it worked. Than it was fun to wreak havoc. The tutorial section is indeed helpful to go through first. However, a slightly lower difficulty level at the start for a jam game would be nice. The power-ups are present and can certainly be described as strange 😊! Graphically pleasing pixel art and the music/sfx was just good.
All in all, a solid jam entry that fits well with the theme💪!
I think it would be nice to let the player spend points between levels as it's easy to miss the skill ups section. I also found that I would take projectile damage at the start of some levels before I could even move which made it hard to get very far in the game. Otherwise I really enjoyed doing some significant damage as I leveled up.
X} I really laughed at your powerups man. It was very funny. But i like the game. Thanks
I liked the concept of collecting items to reduce your own health regeneration, and I liked that the goal was to avoid the enemies rather than strictly defeat them. My favorite power-up was the "block rain" one.
Not sure if it's an issue with my browser, but I wasn't able to attack when I clicked on the screen, even after collecting the attack power.
Also, it was a bit challenging but it looks like it would be easier if I gained exp and upgraded my character.
Thanks a lot for the feedback, I am glad you liked it.
When you out of mana (blue bar below hp) you can't shoot, other then that you should be able to.
Tip for exp, you get exp for killing monsters, exp amount of monsters gradually increase every level (base exp * scene build index +1) :D
In normal gameplay if you kill enemies while running away, it took 5 minutes to become level 10+ (max level is 100 :D)
I am glad you liked the block rain, you can try to combo it with wind, it feels like a good combo to me :D
I kept on dying at the start!! The game was really hard but the power ups were super fun, amazing job overall, loved the art too.
The game was a bit too hard, but the power ups were creative! I think I was too good at dying lol
Thanks for the feedback,
There is character stats at main menu, and leveling up is easy at first levels,
Character data is saved automatically, so you can spend stat points and try again if you want :D
(It is meant to be hard and imposible to complete at first try, and actually you win when you die :D )
Nice! I found the game to be a bit laggy because of the number of units and it was also quite difficult!
Thanks for the feedback, there is character stats panel in the main menu, and character data is automatically saved, you probably leveled up already, so you can try again if you want, my suggestion is movement speed and mana regain :)
