Hmm not sure how I feel about this. I am a bit confused that it was updated after the deadline, but that may have been to remove some copyrighted material (as stated in another comment, it appears like some images had been used without proper rights).
The backgrounds now are pretty generic and don't really fit to the characters in my opinion. Would have loved to get to know the characters a bit more and explore their personalities. The music did not fit at some points, and having complete silence during the phone call could also be better. At least a small phone-ringing at the beginning of the call would have been nice.
I am not sure how this relates to the jam theme "surprise", or is the only surprise that you suddenly have a wife/partner at your home?
I would really like some clarifications, maybe I am just missing something...
I got a warning from Windows Defender on download for a Trojan script detected. Not sure if it's a false alarm or not, but would rather not risk it.
Yeah and the game has been changed/updated after the jam deadline...

Great basis for a visual novel game ! Art is BEAUTIFUL, music is on point. I would advise, for further update, to give the main character more 'personality' (just an avater or something...) and for thoughs, put them in italic or in special bubble...well, good start, keep it up !

Unfortunately the game won't let me play past the first few lines of dialogue, perhaps a little bugged
