Ran into a couple weird bugs on the third layer, but a really great showing regardless! To be clear, I'm not really big on bullet hell as a genre (sorry) but I love the implementation of the wheel here. From the screenshots I was expecting that it'd be a bit of moving around the board, but you found so many cool, novel ways to repurpose it! The narrative beats and presentation are great too. Firmly in the "hard to believe it's a jam game" category.
Absolutely incredible visuals, and very polished gameplay! The wheel mechanic is very inventive too. But holy hell, there might not be another game on this planet that im worse at than this, I can't get past the first chapter. Apparently there is 3? Im freaking cooked
I feel like the player's bullets should be a different color than the enemy bullets, that would make it easier to respond to enemies shooting at you
really good stuff! the combat design is very nice, with varying kinds of enemies requiring different strategies and movement patterns to deal with them. also very impressive how most of this utilizes shaders. GREAT JOB
this one fucks so hard but I am not good enough for it AT ALL; I had to turn on infinite lives to get past chapter 1 and still had to bow out at chapter 3 lol; this is coming from someone who plays a fair amount of top-down bullet hells (and is also making one). the shooting and controls feel really good though, the style is fantastic, and the fact that you managed to sneak in dialogue and an options menu is really impressive. extremely good entry!!!
Incredibly novel usage of the wheel that fits into the gameplay loop beautifully! And thank you for the infinite lives & bombs options for those of us who are not great at bullet hells :) I had fun despite my cheating
I played the jam version first, and while the post-jam version seems a lot easier, it crashed for me after the fight where you pick the wedges
