Nice game! well done, I love that it's complete.
One suggestion which might be hard to do: if you can make the white board writeable and have some number recognition that detects when the user draws the answer "4" on it to activate the door, that might be interesting :) an easier thing is to have like 9 dots grid and user has to connect them using the pen to draw 4 (that might be more doable)
Also in the last hallway there was a 2d drawn door, I wish if it was interactable, it would be a cool mechanic
the 4 is for the code after in the before last room also you open the door in the whiteboard room
by hitting it with the hammer
Yea, I just think making use of the whiteboard can be a great mechanic to add to your game, like you write the 4 there, and it reveals the number you need to use in the before last room.
The whiteboard didn't work at all for me, and I ended up just pushing open the X door with the hammer (didn't feel intended, but it got me through). I liked that there were several steps that had to be completed to reach the end.
It was intended
I struggled like everyone else with the whiteboard. Sorry it ended up being buggy, but the idea of using the whiteboard as a puzzle was great. The first two puzzles were also solid. I was able to complete the game by clipping through the wall. The ending computer was awesome! Solid work!
Thanks would you mind telling me which wall you clipped thru
I believe it was the wall between the 3rd and 4th room. I wouldn't stress about it though. I was trying to clip through it on purpose so I could see the rest of the game since the whiteboard wasn't working.
Hey I just tested your game, I couldn't write on the whiteboard.
However, I did manage to go to the 4th room because I pulled the door in a weird way that allowed me to pass. You just have to take the hammer and hit multiple times the right side of the door to pass.
And I did finish your game !
(this is pretty sus)
I really like the equation and the end screen on the computer which was greatly made.
Anyway, you have still a lot of things to learn about VR (Grabbable, Socket, Physics, Locomotion), but there is always room for improvements and new things to learn, keep doing it !
The art was quite good, especially the computer who was really well-made I insist ! I really liked the small plot-twist at the end !
Practice makes perfect !
thanks tomdexp I am aware of the whiteboard problem and for some reason it just doesn't work it works fine in the editor but not in the build and the door for the 4th room is intentional your actually supposed to hit it with the hammer that's why there is an x on it
Cool game. However I could not get past the whiteboard room but I see now that it probably has some bug. I was really looking forward to draw something on the board.
the answer to the math equation is 4 and for some reason it worked in the editor but not in the final build

The first two rooms were simple and easy to understand and get through. The third room I now have peeked at what other people read was broken (thank god) because I was not going to do math. lol. Curious how many rooms you had prepared beyond that math room?
there was 6 total rooms and the answer to the math equation was 4
Cool Game, I liked the sounds and the concept of multiple small little rooms.
I definitely remember that whiteboard which works great in that theme !
However I could not get past that room because the marker would not draw for me :(
Did I miss a button input ?
i noticed that too with the time remaining i could not finish the white board for some reason it was working fine in the editor and didn't work in the final build
Thats a bummer ! You could throw a quick fix in, maybe just a button to simulate solving the puzzle.
So atleast you could get past it.
