Nice job, clearly a lot of work went into this project! It's a little confusing because so much is going on and I think theres a lot of 'hidden' rules besides just attack and HP stats and so on. The way defense plays into it, and also types? When one of mine hits an enemy and it gains health, feels like I missed something essential 😂

Developer

Yeah the health thing is a bug, I just fixed it tho! There should be less hidden rules now.

Loved que visuals, characters and the UI.
Loved the idea for the abilities.
Maybe pixelation effect could be removed to improve text reading.

Could also add sounds for card mouse over to give more feedback to player.

I encounter a small bug that prevented some enemy´s cards to attack.

Very impressive job for 10 days of work! Congratulations!

Please release a Super Brigadeiro´s Pack with all game on STEAM!

I commend how far this got in such a short jam period, however, I think it may have been a bit too much to bite off for a week long jam. I'd love to see a more finished product. I echo others thoughts regarding the need for a tutorial. It isn't clear how defense works at all. For example my 90 attack card attacked an enemy card with 45 def and 70hp. this resulted in 16 damage (54 hp remaining). This must be explained to the player somehow because it does not make sense intuitively - id expect 45 damage to be "defended"/ ignored.

Also not a big fan of the random amount of mana regained per turn, RNG in deck builders should come from which cards show up, not core mechanics, IMO, unless some special high risk high reward ability ought to have a coin flip or dice roll for outcome. I hope this doesn't read as too harsh, I'm only writing so much because I did enjoy the concept, im impressed with what there is so far, and I would love to see it more fully fleshed out.

Developer

Thanks! I do plan on making some major updates for the game in around September. I do agree with you on the defense and skip things, I'll be fixing that soon!

This game will be really great when finished.

Developer

Thanks! I'll be working on it after a little break (the break will be in about 10 days)

A tutorial would be great, not really sure what i was doing tbh haha.

For this game, a little tutorial would absolutely be necessary. For anyone wondering what to do: click on one of the cards at the bottom (your cards), then click an action on the right, then click on a card at the top.

The art is very impressive, and the lore was awesome! As card games tend to be a lot of work, this is very good!

Developer

Thank you so much! I do agree with you, a tutorial would be great, but there wasn't enough time, most of the project was fixing bugs and adding the remaining features.

I could not really understand what to do. After setting my cards to attack nothing happened. It also did not progress from round 1. Not sure if it was buggy, or i was just stupid, or its unclear what to do.

Developer

When you set your cards to attack, you have to click one of the red cards on top.

the game is enjoyable, i love the fact that it has a lore, however i belive that it is incomplete, as i didn't fully undrestood the role of the pile and the cards in the top right corner.

Also the heatlh of the card should be updated after an attack

But despite that, the game’s still fun to play!

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately, I didn't finish the pile, as for the cards in the right corner, they're just there to look nice, they don't actually do anything.

I really loved the hand drawn visuals, and the shaders over the top were awesome! I really like the abilities of the cards, made for interesting decisions.
A few feedback points:

- Having a basic zero mana ability might feel more fun, if you are out of mana it feels quite bad having to wait turns for more

- The health display on the cards didnt update which made the game situation hard to read

Amazing job overall! You should be really proud

Developer

Thank you! I've just updated the game to add the enemy's stat display, just hover over a card and it will show.
