Entertaining premise! I was not a fan of the tutorial being non-skippable, but not too big of a deal. I really thought the controls and set design were extremely well polished. The two gripes I have are the graphics not being very illustrative (like the obstacle in level 1 gives no indication that you need to wait through an animation before shooting again) and the enemies in level 2 are overly relentless. The invincibility frames on the enemies being removed might send this game from "pretty good" to "great"

Thanks for your review, we’re definitely going for the update for this game in future.

Game has a skip button in the right-top corner in tutorial mode. And you can skip tutorial also.

Thanks again :)

I tried playing but it froze and it wouldn't let me continue, The tutorial worked fine but I hit skip, it transitoned but it wouldn't let me move besides shooting.  I wasn't able to really play it but the graphics look really good.

Played it again this time it ran well, but for some reason there was some noise looping in the background. Besides that good job!

Developer

Thanks Chris. I hope you like the game. Whatever the problem with sound, i will fix it. I appreciate your review

Looks great, but there was some weird background sound, like a static screen or something for me, that really annoyed me. It was confusing why the blow-fish didn't get shot, but later I understood that you just have to try and avoid them. Visuals were amazing, but when I shot the thing I need to remove, it flashes the screen so much, that if I had epilepsy it would be bad - should have some warning or something.

Developer

Thanks Janis, I will fix it for red fish

Developer

We’ll take it as an important note for all the flashing elements in game visuals. I didn’t thought about that earlier. But I’ll definitely mention it as a warning in the game description.

Thanks

Looks and sounds amazing! You can tell a lot of effort went into this :)

I didn't really like the shooting and the homing missiles didn't always hit their target.
Also, sometimes I would get surrounded by red fish and trapped in a corner of the screen, which pretty much means you're dead.

Thanks for your review.  Jaf, it seems you get encounter by puffer, it can't be killed. Also Torpedos are of two type one torpedo detect target automatically on launch as you click left mouse button and other one is normal which can be  launched by holding right click and then left click. it will go straight. Its better to use left mouse button for launching AI Torpedos. I hope you will try again.

[1] This Game is now Browser Playable.

[2] Puffers, It’s not a bug they usually spawns at you when player stops at any position for 2 or more seconds. They can not be killed by anyhow, you can only get rid of them by maintaining a distance and keep moving.

Any chance for a browser playable version?

Developer (4 edits)

[OLD edit] There is a Unity WebGL version of this game.

But we couldn’t found anything to upload it as browser playable.

Currently you’ve to download the WebGL version zip file. Extract it to the desired folder. Then host this folder under any local server like XAMPP or LAMP etc.

If anyone can point us how could we make a browser playable game out of Unity WebGL export on itch io that’ll be a great help.

[New edit] All fixed!

Thank you!

You've already done it :) I think all you need to do is edit your game page and click the checkbox under the WebGL version for playing in browser.

[edit]

I made a quick demo to show that the webGL version can be played by browser,  and because I'm impatient lol.

You can see it at https://games.dancewiththedevil.net/test/index.html

PS I'm not trying to steal your game. I'd be happy to host it for the duration of the game jam if you like or delete it right away.

I tried out the game but I don't know if I've found a bug or doing something wrong. It seems like the torpedoes are having no effect on the enemy?

Very beautiful game.

[edit2] I've removed the test version since you got it working on itch :)

Now the Play in browser works! Check this out.

I think you’re caught by Puffers, It’s not a bug they usually spawns at you when player stops at any position for 2 or more seconds. And they can not be killed by anyhow, you can only get rid of them by maintaining a distance and keep moving.

[Edit 1] Thanks for pointing us out for the Browser Playble, we couldn’t figure that out by our own :) We were kind of lost there.
