I think you’re caught by Puffers, It’s not a bug they usually spawns at you when player stops at any position for 2 or more seconds. And they can not be killed by anyhow, you can only get rid of them by maintaining a distance and keep moving.
[Edit 1] Thanks for pointing us out for the Browser Playble, we couldn’t figure that out by our own :) We were kind of lost there.
