I gotta say, the asset pack you picked, really helped the entry! The game is fun, levels are not that bad. You've done pretty well in the time limit! I had fun, because of the challenge to find routes in different seasons while melting!
I also had the same idea. But I gave up because it was too difficult for my skills.
Your game is fun, addictive, well made. Maybe a little too difficult, but I don't think it's a fault.
I like the use of assets and music.
I find it amazing that you have done all this in such a short time.

While the graphics are not yours, it was arranged in an appealing way.
That being said, experimenting with what will appear in each season was a bit difficult endeavor, but still satisfying. What I'd maybe do is check whether the snowman would be stuck in walls before the switch and then simply prevent it. There were times where I got stuck in the wall during winter to recover my HP, and the screen was shaking uncontrollably because of the collisions. So, preventing the switch if there's no space would help with that.
But other than that I really liked the game.
Preventing the switch would make for an interesting new dynamic. You have to make sure you are in a free spot to replenish your health.
But I feel in that case you'd have to have some way of knowing if the current spot is free, otherwise it might feel like a bug or unfair mechanic if the switch doesn't work.
Interesting stuff to think about for sure.
Hi!
First of all, I love the game. It feels too polished for a game made in just 3 hours
I'd love to see more levels in the future!
Yeah, after i noticed i won't be able to make a good level in time i rushed the level and focused on polishing to at least uphold a false picture of a thought out game. :D
Glad you enjoyed it, though.
hey!
Congratulations on Winning TriJam #68.9. You absolutely deserved it with Roley Poley :-)
This entry is also really cool. I like the mechanics of switching seasons. Sometimes you can get stuck because the levels have different geometrics. But its a cool game!
I made a Video playing your Game :-)
Thank you for playing and filming my game.
I hope you at least enjoyed it a little even if the platforming might be a little hard.
no worries! i definitely enjoyed it, its awesome how polished the game feels.
Absolutely love the idea and the game is really well polished with the fade outs and ins with the seasons and the little particles coming off the snowman! There are some issues like getting stuck in blocks but that is usually solvable by just switching seasons, however I couldn't get out of the pit after I collected the fall potion and got forever stuck after trying to jump out. :(
I'm sorry to hear that you got stuck for good. :(
In my (rushed) tests I always managed to free myself. Well, I guess physics collisions are just a great source for bugs.
