This is my favorite this trijam. I'd prefer skills on cooldown, rather than on timer, but still, very very polished piece.

I liked this game a lot. Didn't manage to go too far. But it's a nice concept.

The ability to drop a package would be nice, so that I don't get swiped by a building, but otherwise, an enjoyable piece.

And now I need a therapy session. 😁

I could only do like 7 seconds. Am I doing something wrong, or am I just too bad at it.
Probably the latter.

Admittedly, besides the description and an incognito progress bar at the top, I haven't really given any indication on what's really going on 😀

I struggle with onboarding when I have unlimited time, let alone when I have 3 hours in which to squeeze everything else.

I think it takes a bit of time to load the first load. Just give it a second maybe. And also, I think Firefox doesn't work well with unity games...

Thanks for trying, tho.

Yeah, no. There was no time for me to finish.

Although the remaining stuff (the actions) are actually not that much work, I had some personal stuff to take care of, so there was no time to do it more.

More will be in part 2.

Cool, gonna check it again later during the day

I use Inkscape for simple vector graphics.

Thanks for the review. I know there are a couple of bugs, yeah. But couldn't fix them in time.

Very nice ambience.

I'd prefer controls to be just a little bit more responsive, but even this way it's still fun.

Nice piece.

Interesting, but I don't see the goal, so it's more like a sandbox, which is totally fine.

I liked the fact that you can plant the seeds all around the asteroid (planet?).

Nice job.

The thing I loved the most is the spaceship window view. If only you had some time to hide the starts in the background when they overlap the spaceship frame. This way it looks like the stars are inside the ship. Or the same could have been done by ordering the sprites on z-axis properly.

The way it is currently breaks immersion.

But I get the time limitation completely. Good job nevertheless.

What do you mean unfinished?!

I had my own goal. Speedrun to 1 million in all colors.

It took me 5:57. I even have a recording.

Btw. is increasing the bot speed limited somehow by the game math?

It seemed to not help a lot after some level.

Cool, now I gotta go cool down my hand from all the clicking.

I am not sure I understood what is the green thing and what the orange.
They'd just disappear when I approach them.
And yet, some of these would increase the score when I go to the red square.
Unsure, what was going on 🤷🏻‍♂️

But I liked it as the only 3d game I've played this trijam

Once I realized I can hold the watering button to spray, the game just got a lot better 😃

I like the idea a lot. A bit more level variation would make this into a really cool piece.

Die on collision would be cool to as a hard mode.

Ok, this experience was... weird. 😀

You have implemented only a single wave of aliens. I wouldn't even know that if I hadn't read it in the comments. I didn't catch them at all, as I was reading your description while the game was loading. hahaha 😁

I just had to restart the game to get those plant-hating alien sons-of-... some other aliens, I guess 😁

Jokes aside, a watering pot as a main character?

Yeah, done with trolling. 😉

Considering this is the first time you're using an engine, and that you didn't have much time, it's fine little alien-ass-kicking experience, even if just from the second try 😀

Take care.

I had no idea what I was doing 😁

It seemd to me that clicking the left grid (4x4) moves my ship according to what it says on the tile (i.e. down, left, nut).

That would control the ship on the larger grid.

But I saw no way to water those plants on the right, I just sowed some seeds and move the ship around. Not sure how to satisfy any of the captain's needs 🤷🏻‍♂️

Idea seems to have potential, as far as I can understand it, but I wasn't able to decypher it.

I think I ended up flying through space untethered.

While watering the plants, I left the screen to the left.

Rescue party was organized, no gardening astronaut was found.

Legend says it he's still orbiting a black hole.

To have more fun, I'm missing some information.

For example, how many of each cards there is. This way it seems too arbitrary.

Also, a history of already played cards, so I can guess the probabilty of the bomb.

With some more work on the concept, this could actually be a cool push-your-luck kind of game.

Nice work.

Very nice concept. It reminds me of Conway's game of life and it seems to be influenced by it.

It wasn't at first obvious what I'm supposed to be doing, but I soon found out.

If I understood correctly, the virus is the ending factor.

When I'd get a virus, I'd isolate it in water fast to stop the spread (I assumed it spreads to adjacent tiles). Not sure if there's a way to destroy it tho.

Fun game. I really like those automaton simulators.

A bit too hard because the game is lacking indications:

* Which lane the enemy will appear

* How much health does my plant still have

* How much health enemies have

Without that I was able to get to 20ish score.

Also, as others said, it takes too long for me to get a new plant.

All in all, it's a nice small piece, albeit not really "gardening" :)

I derped with the upload 🤦🏻‍♂️

I wanted to upload web version as well, but the Unity takes ungodly amount of time 😔

Yeah, the one with the three buttons were supposed to be clicked in specific order, once each. But the thing is, I wanted to make the 3 hour mark so I failed to add this kind of toggle state so that you can see when the puzzle was reset (if the sequence was in the incorrect order). Unfortunatelly, I assume most will solve this by accident. If I had just 15 more minutes 🤷‍♂️

But thanks for playing and persisting until the end.

yeah, that's how I found about the TAB. 😉

I am... but I still haven't had a chance to start 😢

Wow. I really enjoyed playing this.

The only issue I'm having is that I don't see myself improving. 😢

But that's not the issue with the game, I just don't know how to properly strategize, at least not in this few matches I've had. The best score for me was 5 tokens.

But I really like the simplicity of the visuals.

Really nice job.

Can't write more comments, gotta go play more BOXit!

Hey, I love typing games, but it took me quite a while to realize I could TAB to another word. I started pressing characters randomly...

The best thing is the cam shake on error, that's so gooooooood... really smooth.

Well done!

The sounds are cool. Well done for actually recording the voices.

I've encountered an issue with the sound - when you click R quickly after the resolution, the two sounds clips will play at the same time. Try to stop previous sound when playing a new one.

Other than that, I haven't found any connections between the woman and the spider... 🤔

The pineapple one was more apparent.

Any case, nice little game.

This is a very nice game. It is mind boggling at times, but brains are good at adapting neural pathways, so after some time it becomes a bit more normal.

Nice take on the theme.

I wouldn't agree. I mean, it could qualify as the other theme, or as the matter of fact, the combination of both. Admittedly, not too deep, but still, I wouldn't say the theme is not apparent.

Well, that is the last piece of the puzzle, you just need to put all of the solutions into above counter in order of appearance. :D

This was confusing for me at first because I didn't know I could shoot and make cubes...

Interesting take on the theme, and it'd be great if you can expand on it further.

The prototype has a potential, just needs proper context of execution.

In any case, well done!

Wow, this is really awesome. I like those metagames where you program your programming game :D

Really nice work!

The only thing that was really confusing for me was this idea od only one thing changed at the time. When I got to those vertical bars in pairs, it wasn't really obvious why my changes were being discarded  when I would edit the other one.

But other than that, really cool idea.

Have you made it to the end?

I've seen someome playing and struggling too much with it, so I'm not sure if it's too difficult without additional cues/hints... To me, as a creator, all puzzles are obvious, but it's hard for me to know how it is to others.

Regardless, it was nice to read it. I was expecting a bit darker end, I have to admit. And I was glad it was just you know, growing up 😊

Yeah. I submitted after the deadline. Got too busy over the weekend.

Thanks for the kind words.

And no worries about the video. Maybe next time ;)

Hey, thanks for playing.

Yes, I was thinking about the swap as well as the holding to move the pieces, so it's not the most polished version. But you know, time constraints :)

My max score is 35k, but I'm a piano player and I can type fast :) hahaha.

Thanks for posting your score, this gives me a good gauge on how difficult it is to people. It was hard for me to decide on the speed up as the seasons go by.

I am a big fan of small variants on core mechanics in games. I have like a bazillion of ideas like this. I haven't played Tetris effect either.

But I agree about the summer, too much of them are changing. Also, the worst possible thing happened in my design, which I didn't know how to go around. The fact that the Fall comes after the Summer. So, after the summer leaves you with a total mess, the fall comes with a speedup, and then the Winter comes without the ability to slide pieces in. So, yeah, the seasons are thematic, but then again, not kind towards the player.

But of course, there could be other interpretations of the particular season, or I could activate only 5th season (so that at most one season per year has an effect applied).

Thanks for playing. Yeah, 1186 is kind of low, but I am sure part of it is the lack of holding a button to quickly move. I've found out that my wrist tires too quickly without that feature. But yeah, it's not a commercial version of tetris (a term I'm avoiding for copyright issues).

Hey, thanks for playing. I agree about participation and completion. That's why even though late I endured and actually finished something. Of course, it can be polished and improved ad infinitum, but this is as much as I considered complete.
