I am most impressed that you managed to make this game on iOS, but I gotta say, it's not just something whatever! The game is fun and it's a new, interesting take on the snake game! Excellent!
Thanks :)
This game is amazing!
Thanks
My score = 15
Definitely new look on classical shake. Wish to give player controll to left/right turn priority
What do you mean?
Like if left and right direction open, give player ability to select direction. Maybe use arrow for this
Yo dude this is a lot of fun. It just needs an extra day of polish. It's such a simple concept and I like just blocking the snake and seeing where it'd go.
Admittedly in its current state it's nothing but a proof of concept. The snake moves slow and there's no way to 'speed up a turn'. Lack of music does hinder the experience a bit along with missing Quality of Life features like being able to drag to create stuff.
Still though, with a bit more time this would be something I would play here and then. I might even take the idea for myself if you're okay with it.
Other things I'd add is a way to see what direction the Snake is facing and also where it'd turn next when met with a wall, unless it being unpredictable is an intention (although I think there is a move priority coded in, right?)
If the left is open but the right is closed, it moves to the left. And vice versa. But if both are open its random.
Neat! I've built a snake farm
Oh damn lol
You realize the snake grows though?
yeah, the snake automatically path finds and grows, I left it for like ten minutes while it happily munched its way around
Should the game be twice as fast?
Well sorta? I wasn't really playing to the spirit of the game. Maybe if the snake got slightly faster as it grew, but I was intentionally having a bit of fun with it. When I played it properly there was a lot to do. Possibly if you limited the number of blocks you can place or have them disappear after a set bit of time. (IDK if you've seen the carrots in ocarina of time, limited to five but they regenerate constantly)
I like the dissappear idea. Keeps em on their toes
