I think this should have placed much higher... After playing every game this is still my choice for best of the jam, but people have difference experiences with these kind of logic/math puzzle games.

You did a wonderful job on all fronts. I gave this pretty much 5 stars on all fronts if I recall; art, music, gameplay, theme usage, all very excellent. And again, I really love the extra work you're putting into your games' cover images. Far better than mine, probably the best among the TriJam usual suspects. Really nice aesthetics. You should be proud.

Thanks a lot for your support, really appreciate it!I presume the gameplay is not for everyone and it's audience rather small. I'm totally fine with that, I just wish people would have left more feedback on what they don't like and why so I wouldn't have to guess.

Yeah that's the eternal struggle haha...

But it can be hard for people to articulate even if they do leave feedback, as does everyone, it's tough.

I look forward to your next game :D

Really awesome and fun game! Didn't figure out the first time, what was the culprit, but the second time around got it in 14 scans! :D Is it any good? Gotta say that the idea is very interesting! Hehee! :D

Thanks for playing, I just watched the recording on twitch. I can see you were confused at first because you didn't know the rule includes two colours or accessories. 14 scans is all right I guess, during my testing I usually also tried to find 5 culprits with a scan and then deduct the rule, which takes around 10 scans or so. Maybe next time I can make a game that's not so hard to get into during a stream. :)

don't worry about me, make games you want to make! :)

Really excellent. Great visuals, music, and solid gameplay. I found it a bit too easy, but that's just me. My last few plays of the game I was able to guess the correct rule after only two scans.

I strongly agree with Dwight about the selection highlight, it needs to be more contrasting.

Overall, there's very little to critique here. Really really solid. It's not my favorite game in the world of course but there's basically nothing wrong with it, it's incredibly well done. Probably my pick for winner of the jam. Nice job.

Thanks a lot, I'm very glad you like it! Though it seems I still have to come up with a gameplay you find challenging. :o Should I happen to include a difficulty setting in one of my future submissions, I might call them "Easy", "Medium" and "Gunnar". ;)

Lol 😅 sorry... Not my intention...

I hadn't thought of that, but I guess you're right haha...

IDK, this game and the other one I remember are very similar to games I like and have made before I guess. I was just replaying an old game of mine where you have to guess an isogram of a certain length in X number of tries (like 5 for a random 4 letter isogram I believe), and each guess you're only told how many letters are correct in the right place and how many are correctly in the word but in the wrong place, and that is very similar to this game but much harder, so maybe I'm just primed for this kind of puzzle haha...

Quite challenging, and the idea fit well to my mood (recently finished 2 detective games). I wish there was a few easier levels to start with so it won't be so disencouraging, yet I spent quite some time trying to crack the case and enjoyed it.

Developer(+1)

That's the problem if you don't have some testing audience available, you don't know what's easy or difficult anymore if as the developer you know how it works. Thanks for sticking with the game, I'll try to add an easier setting if I find time!

Clever idea, this game made me think hard! I wish the highlight around the selected boxes was stronger - I had a really hard time keeping track of which outfits I had selected. However, shoutout to a cool idea that requires some real detective thinking!

Thanks for your feedback, I totally agree on the selection highlight - I noticed it during development, but I chose to finish the game first and polish later, only that I didn't have time to do any polish anymore. Might fix it after the voting ends.
