This is really interesting. It had me trying to figure out which tiles each building wanted to be on or next to to give me more points. I wish there was a more guided way to understand the buildings rather than just throwing them around randomly. But given the time limit, this was really cool. Makes me want more. Good work!
A lot of potential here, but it either needs a better explanation or some smaller starter level to give an idea of how the building combination affects the score. The score feels too random at the moment to observe the pattern, five buildings and four land types a lot of combinations.
Admittedly, I wasn't super sure on what the goal was, BUT I'm a sucker for the type of game this is, so I wasn't too upset. Nice Job!
Really like the whole idea of this game, and the choice for such a desolate atmosphere. Very impressive to make something this technical for such a short game jam too - it's not very common to see a number-puzzler like this :)
I love city-building games, but I had a bit of a hard time figuring this all out... Still, great job :)
I really enjoyed the aesthetics of the game! It's simple, but it felt like I was playing a city building game on the NES ❤
I understand that the game is about trying to find the best placement for the highest score, but I wish I knew what the buildings were, which would help me guess what rules give me the best score. Even something as simple as a tooltip on the buttons would help.
I almost feel like this game would be better without a timer or as a puzzle game instead. For example, giving the user a smaller, 4x4 grid and asking the player to find the pattern of buildings that gives you the maximum score possible. But I definitely enjoyed it as it is. I would play more!
