But if you close your eyes

This was really good. There's a lot of storylines interwoven here and they all manage to fit together, and I like all of the different angles this game takes in regards to relationships. Also the fujoshi thing was really funny, this is my new headcanon for Ichirin and no one will stop me.

This one is a real gem. Full marks on all aspects, from the adorable art to the stellar character writing, and the Val-Hall-A inspired gameplay lends itself perfectly to all the stories being told piece by piece every night. Enjoyed every second.

A very charming visual novel. I loved the art and writing, especially the goofy expressions and visual gags. I had no idea it was even possible to please Joon until I accidentally got one of her orders right and knew I had to replay through the game to get the other ending. Did ended up getting jumpscared at the end of ending B by a certain individual, glad that you made her a menace to food service workers as she should be.

Also huge missed opportunity to not call it Gaydontei for pride

The VA-11-Hall-A influence is clear and that is a compliment. This VN offers a limited viewpoint into the lives of a surprisingly large cast. Their various problems are not anything new, but the game presents them in a thoroughly entertaining manner. The cast have sharp personalities that are amusing to read. Miyoi's reaction to a certain tengu guest is something else. The little animations are where this game really shines though. There are enough that body language comes into play to really express their emotions and internal thoughts.  Even commercial VNs often skimp on these sorts of animations so its great to see them. From audio, the little jingle when you get an order right feels quite satisfying. The music sets the mood, though some of the sudden transitions can be a little jarring. As for the gameplay itself, it's pretty simple. You either know what the customer wants with some basic reasoning, or you just have to guess on a few.

There was a mention of multiple endings. I got ending B on my first go with a few errors. I tried it again and made sure to get a perfect service score but still got ending B. I'd like to know what the requirements for other endings are before trying again, because it is a lot of clicking.

Besides calling mochi a type of "dumpling," in all other aspects the game is simply sublime. You've nailed each character's idiosyncracies and personalities. Overall, I can say the visuals couldn't be better, with endearing character sprites and a food menu in Kanji characters (with adjacent translations for gaijins of course). Finally, though the audio is simple the BGM suits the environment nicely, and SFX rewards players for gameplay. This is what I waited ten years in the joint for!

Also, the character dynamics are quite enjoyable to read. They pack some serious whimsy and humor.

I'm a fraud. It should be manjuu, not mochi.

Absolutely brilliant! The presentation was incredible, and I loved the way you managed to weave so many plot lines at once together into something so charming. I was extremely impressed by your vision for how the game should go. This is only my second game of the jam so far, but I'll be very surprised if I play a game I like more than this one.
