Doki doki waku waku, the game! I would never have dreamed of it!

Notes:
- I know Suika doesn't want us to skip her monologue, but it took too damn long. What's with this awkward long wait to her next lines too?
- Having to switch back and forth between keyboard and mouse controls... Kind of unergonomic. Unless your name is Yamame and can use your multiple limbs for both keyboard and mouse.
- enemies dropping items out of bounds when I spawnkill them... Unfortunate
- explosion markers, yadda yadda. Everyone below already said it

- Having your resources tied to Affection sure sounds like a neat idea! Made for an ingenious blend of SHmUP and dating sim (somehow)
- Convos chaotic and funny, laughed

Where did she get a shotgun-

Thank you for your comment!

I made her monologue this long because I've just learned how to make shaking text in unity and thought it is so cool it should stay longer lol.

Also, I guess I had no good writing in this game (except obscure references and weird jokes) so the entire Suika thing would somehow be a good plot twist and make at least for a mediocre writing.

Again thank you!

Rather goofy game but in a kinda fun way. The portraits were pretty good, shotgun Seiga is funny!

The “mine” bullet explosions that happened throughout the fights were mean because it was hard to see them, it did feel like a bit of cheap difficulty. But on the other hand there’s infinite continues, so it didn’t really matter. The gimmick of taking away all my shop purchases (moments after I’d figured out I could upgrade) was good. Actually the fights on the whole were rather fun but maybe just needed some tightening up mechanically to be properly replayable. Still, a cool game overall :)

Hey Kasha, thanks for your comment!

The world needs more Seiga with a shotgun. That art is great. Glad we're getting more Seiga games.

As for the game itself:
The explosion indicators needed to have better contrast with the background, especially since you can expect the player to be looking further up the screen where enemies spawn. The enemies that die to the right of the screen drop items you cannot pick up.

Suika's first attack was pretty fun. It felt like a bullet hell at that point.

Seiga games are underrated agreed. Not as much as Ichirin games though.

If nothing else, this game is interesting. The writing flips between weird in a humorous way to just sort of incomprehensible. The character portraits are great, and something about Seiga with a shotgun tickles the funny bone. Would have been nice to know where she got it. The UI, though, is really unpolished. That extends into the gameplay. The bullets without outlines and the fireworks warning markers are quite hard to see on much of the background. The upgrades are fun and tying them to Yoshika integrates the story and gameplay. Yet you don't get a lot of time to play with them and they are irrelevant when they are needed most. The lack of an epilogue to wrap up the insanity of the script is also sorely missed. Apart from that, Suika's theme is an absolute jam and I'd want a copy of it.

I think Saishoo outdid himself with some of his tracks, and of course I love Suika's theme.

The writing felt a bit random as I was just referencing some old touhou fanworks.

Epilogue is actually a fun idea. Thanks!

yo

Fun game mate innit yo. Forkin simple n nice gameplayin (but the bullet hitboxes seem kinda big yo) yo. Gameplayart reminds me of an oldass flash game in a good way yo. Love to hear goofyass ZUNpet musics.

Radass writing yo. Almost too frackin grody for my tastin yo, but ey yo it's kinda noice compared to a game with boring dialogue innit. My favorite line is "go to komachi" innit mate. Bloody ell, I love that shiznit yo.  Played on Lunatick first, then tried again at Medium, cuz the upgrades seemed too expensive on Lunatic yo. But shittin blimey dawg, guess the upgrades ain't all that importantlike, seein as Suiker takes em away at the end yo. Like I could barely use em before game was donezo, n that almost makes ya wonder why they're even there innit mate.

In short, it's like a zombie pizza-- crusty as hell, and it knows it, and sometimes it's healthy to have a bit of that in your life.

Thank you for such a long and good comment.

Yoshika is british???!!!!

Also Suika stealing the upgrades and somehow wanting to hurt Seiga is just a weird thing I added for undertale-like vibes. It was a bit improvised but I think it is kinda cool. Yo!
