I am looking at submissions page and noticed a hug amount of extra games excited i clicked it to see what new tf games await.
Only to see a bunch of submissions by the same person that seemingly don't have anything to do with tf, which they seem to post on as much jams as possible.

submission page notice how one name pops up a lot: https://gyazo.com/379a66f65bc27b5faa3753f63c13ed3a

example of a game they made :

notice how it is in multiple jams?

I hope that this is not allowed, cause it is a tf game jam and it clearly is somekind of spam with how their games are posted on multiple jams and that their games will be hidden .

I'm pretty sure it isn't allowed, Just need to wait for Muta and Malic to see the issue.

I also got excited when I saw it jump from 10 to 22, but quickly realised it was just spam with low effort rip off games.

Ya pretty sure this isn't actually something that's allowed, just someone spamming games to jams in hopes of getting clicks before the organizers boot them for being an obvious grifter.

Thanks, yeah, I will remove them.

I disqualified all the submissions, I wish there was a way to ban a user from submitting to the jam, as well.

I am actually suprised there isn't, but i think against this kind of spam it won't do much, cause i looked more into the profile of the spammer, it is a 2 mayby 3 day old account by now.
So pretty sure reuploaded games from other creators passed of as their own so even if you could ban them. With the type of spam, i am sure it most be bot created account or something.

With nothing preventing sadly from even more new ones being created to do the same. Unless there is a way to set up a minimum itch.io account age, to submit to a jam.
But that leaves its own problems. With that i am sure some people have created accounts in the past just to legit join the jam!

I guess the only thing to do is to remain vigilant and update here or if you have a direct contact point or malic has one directly to you guys to help you notice it.

That said I am now going to focus on the nice parts of the jam! Got to comment on some submission i played.

I had my game submitted to this jam and it was removed. My game features transformation, as the main character is a chimera, and it also affects the birth of other races that transform as a result. The game is not yet complete. Did I misunderstand what "transformation" theme is? I did not see an explanation anywhere. My game is Heaven's Stone Ring - https://soulmoth.itch.io/phaetonia. Please tell me if its not a match for the theme, or if there was another reason it was removed. I am new to game jams.

It was probably just accidentally caught up in the mass removing of spammed submissions, but for clarification, does the game include a character who starts as one thing and then changes into another? Not just a chimera with various monster aspects to begin with, but like starts as a human and then becomes a harpy, growing wings and claws and things like that?

The description you gave here makes it sound like it might just be about someone who can have monster kids with other races, which wouldn't be transformation, just cross breeding, unless the parent is ALSO transformed into a new species as part of the breeding.

Ah, to clarify, the main character in the game already starts as a chimera that transforms into a harpy (and other creatures as the game progresses). So yes the parent would transform. But since there is not a heavy focus on this, I don't think it counts, but if you guys think it does and would be okay with it existing in the jam, I will re-submit. The game does have a Web Player if you want to take a quick look yourself before responding.

I'm not one of the mods so not my place to say, but if she turns into a  harpy and the parents also under go TFs, its probably at least in the spirit of things. It probably just got removed due to not being as obviously TF-themed and so got swept up in the broader purge of games that didn't seem to have been added to the jam for suspect reasons.

I'd probably just resubmit it and make sure to explain in the description what transformation elements are present in the game itself.

I do hope you can get it put back on the page! I have played it a bit but not too much so i have not experienced the birth mechanics yet or the mechanics that makes partners tf!
