Very nice overall polish and style to the game. Bonus points for the cowboy hat :)
I like that there was a day/night cycle and that you can change the hats that can be worn. I also liked the art style of the game.
This game was nice and simple and I really like the graphics, the night and day cycle was a good addition as well as the haybales that appear as your clicking on the hay. the hats were a nice addition but some of them didn't quite fit his head unfortunately. The shop was also a little strange and at first I didn't know what I was buying or what anything did but I did enjoy the way that you could slide it out of the way.
Absolutely gorgeous game, truly the art style/ direction is a pleasure to see.
The Day-Night cycle was a stroke of genius and really helps bring this game to life. A simple trick in theory but masterfully executed.
The calming nature of the music fits both the art style and genre perfectly and I could easily listen to this loop for hours despite it's elevator tone.
Particle effect on the wheat was also a fantastic idea, it really helps the player feel engaged with the game-world and made me feel my clicks had an impact. This also proved to be quite entertaining when testing the game with a clicker macro.
Sound Effects are on point but would have loved to hear some more in the buy menu or when clicking around the scenery.
Love the hats! Any game with hats is an instant winner, it's a golden rule but perhaps one that's been forgotten. Propeller hat didn't quite sit right but it didn't detract from the overall feel of the game too much.
The Upgrades gave the game a nice sense of progression and I felt a strong sense of satisfaction after achieving the pickup truck, it would have been nice to see these things appear in the game world as a tangible sign of my labour in the fields.
Video was a bit too quiet and was impossible to hear on my default settings but was still super. It fitted with the relaxing theme of the game and got me excited to play.
Huge well done team, TeamDemo
works well however it is not entirely clear what each of the upgrades do like how the cursor changes when you hover over the wheat field as it helps to let you know what to click onto increment the score and that there is a cycle of time as it is a nice ambience along with the hay bales that acumulate in the background
Very nice game.
The music was calming, and I liked the fact that the background was changing from day to night.
I also liked the little hats. Maybe a bit more upgrades, like a auto harvester or something would be nice.
love the art style and found the game really relaxing with the music and day night cycle. Really liked the game. Only feedback would maybe be add more upgrades.
The art style was pretty good and I quite like the music! Maybe more upgrades would be pretty rad!
The animation for clicking the wheat awesome as are most of the graphics and the shop. This is definitely one of the contender to win the competition. Not much to add other than maybe other than a menu at the start.
nice graphics and a simple to understand upgrade system. ideally an autoclick would have been nice as well as some more progression after the upgrades have been bought, but otherwise a good game
its a shame that some of the art was not consistent in style this was a bit jarring. It certainly didn't hold the players hand. I liked the hay bails in the background feature, more things like this that communicate information would have been good.
The work into the graphics on this game is a nice feature, from the field itself to the cursor change when you are on the wheat to let the user know where to harvest. And even the cosmetics applied to the character awarded through points.; My main issue is that all upgrades are buy once, having upgrades that can be purchased over and over again would allow for more reason to continue playing after purchasing all the upgrades.
As a whole though, this game was a pleasant experience.
very cool and addictive
As others have said, the game has a relaxing atmosphere. The background is really well done and the aesthetics synergise elegantly. The day and night cycles are also a nice feature, I can't describe why or how it makes the game feel more relaxing, but it does.
One thing I thought was missing from the game was upgrades to generate wheat automatically, which are present in most clicker games. But I don't think this drags the game down at all.
Anyone who enjoys clicker games will likely enjoy this game!
UP2037603: Amazing work. The graphics and music combine to give the brilliant atmosphere Rob described below. I'm impressed that you took the time to include the cosmetic aspect of the hats but felt it was a nice detail and well worth it. Using the idea of purchasing particular items to upgrade rather than a simple upgrade button was a nice detail and gave a clear goal to work towards.
I liked that your score is also partially shown in the neighbouring field's bales and that you've got a particle effect appearing on the cursor (as well as the custom cursor). I did notice that the hats don't all sit amazingly on the apple although this was especially prominent on the umbrella hat. The full screen on the web page also seems to scale a tad odd so the water bottle can go off the top.
I absolutely adore the atmosphere of this game, the lovely background, the calming music, the peaceful transition from day to night, the growing stacks of wheat in the neighbouring field, all incredibly lovely.
The gameplay is obviously simple but does what it needs to, my only real feedback is how the hats have an inconsistent pixel size and don't always sit on the apple as well as I would like.
And if you want to try and improve the already great background, adding some subtle movement to the clouds and water would be a nice touch I think.
Great work!
