Describe the improvement that you have been working for this jam
Made the minigames and art, I added hear areas to the monster chance based on how close you are, I played around with the flashlight and environment.

Most of the bugs of last sprint are fixed but I decided to not work on the multiplayer bugs since I'll be adding steamworks next. I've also made a new tutorial on my youtube.

Describe your game in one sentence
COOP horror game

What feedback are you looking for
Anything, is it scary enough, is the monster.setting scary enough, did you find bugs....

Game is far from finished but next sprint I have a week of from work where I want to implement the big ideas to make this game stand out.

I can't say much, graphics were okay. I did like overall design and charm reminding me of old horror games. The big problem is monster's foot steps are too loud and I always know where he is. Animation of monster grabbing the player wasn't too bad.

The only bug I encountered was I couldn't move camera, it was fixed when I finished mini-game(fortunately it was just in front of me). Camera bug returned when I click out side of window this time real horror begun when I had to move backwards in direction of monster's footstep sounds.

This update make this a legit good horror game. The sfx are good and creepy enough to get a good reaction from me for the jumpscare. The shader (while maybe a bit strong) makes the setting feel nice and retro. The background effects take me back to playing slender for the first time.

I do agree that the monster is a bit easy to avoid. Maybe add some kind of rubberbanding logic? Otherwise, this feels like something I would play with my brother over a discord call.

The monster will be controlled by the player so its pretty easy to dodge rn haha

This is a great idea. I didn't even think about that. Playing as the monster sounds like so much fun.

I played the web version, using the Vivaldi browser (Chromium based) on Linux. It did not seem laggy to me.

I was not able to release mouse focus when pressing escape during the game. I had to use Ctrl-w to close the tab. It would be nice if there was a menu to exit the game while playing.

I don't play this style of game at all, though have seen snippets of others playing some, so will give general feedback as best I can. The monster did not seem too scary. My first playthrough I was able to activate the points and exit without ever encountering it, though did see it in the distance a few times. I think the monster logic needs to be updated to expand its exploration area or otherwise be more of a threat. After winning I restarted and got close enough to trigger it to chase, then successfully got away. Finally I ran towards it. The monster gets you screen seemed OK, though was about what I expected and not that scary. This was a low stakes playtest for me, so maybe it would be more scary for someone more invested in a full game with others.

There was a building you could enter that initially looked like there was a wall, until you shined your flashlight on it and it suddenly changed to be an opening. The graphics could use some updating to make the entrance appear more distinct so the player knows where/what it is even if the flashlight is not aimed at it.

The activation min-games were all the same, so once I realized that it was quick to activate the others. A bit of randomness would be good.

It would also be nice if you listed the controls, even if just on the web page.

This seems to have the basics for the style of game as far as I can tell. It feels like a decent start.
