That was really fun! The battles were hard but not impossible, although a couple took me a few tries. I think casting Rabies ASAP is a good move to get the most out of the damage over time. The story, art and music were all great! I had no idea how the story was going to turn out, it was a good surprise! And your lineart was so clean! I loved the spinoff candy brands, and the soundtrack fit really well for a Halloween battle game haha Great job!

I really liked that you added turn-based combat to the game. It was hard, but I finished it xD. At the beginning, I was a bit confused by the story (It get dark really quick xD), but in the end, I was able to understand it. GG! ❤

thank you for playing! our programmer put a lot of work into the combat system and balancing it to be challenging but not impossible, im glad you were able to beat it!

I was so impressed when I saw the editor, and yet, you had more extra costumes as the story advanced. It all feels so polished; the monster designs are on point (I am in love with the vampire bat), and so it's the interface. The combat is also incredibly well-balanced for a jam. I loved the combination of the lore and the mechanics, and the idea of fighting in Halloween while recovering with candy. That's honestly so fun, I would love to play a longer version just fighting around!

An impressive game, with neat combat elements and a story that interwove well with them! Also very fun parody candy designs. Getting so much character customization in place was also really great to see implemented! The characters are super compelling, and I would have loved to see more of Eve and Lea's friendship - definitely makes you wonder where things would go next. Great job!!

thank you for playing! drawing the character customization elements was one of my favorite parts, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed the turn-based combat! The progression of difficulty was well-paced, and I felt like the story really helped 'raise the stakes' for the late-game combat. Although yeah, echo locate did seem useless haha but I did use it a few times! I thought of it as like a nod to the combat mechanics in Pokémon

Overall though...

great game! :D

Also the audio/visuals/gui were all really good and fit the theme!

I'm not really turn-based games player so I can't understand what's purpose of "echacolate" move? It's like skipping your turn. And idk if I really able to defeat last boss with *insert name*, I just each time run out of supplies. Additionally, treat-or-treating segment lacks of variety I think, you are given choice like this:

But music and visuals are great!

DeveloperSubmitted(+1)

thank you for the feedback! the "echolocate" move is just a dodge move that's pretty common in turn-based combat games, but we are working on possible changes to make it a more viable option. thanks again for playing our game!
