Clarification on the no expansion SRAM rule

Is cartridge save RAM allowed?  The wording in the rules is unclear.

I'm still deciding on what style of game I want to make. My best ideas so far are a platformer collectathon or a short metroidvania.  I'd like to add a save feature to the game and limiting myself to password saves will significantly reduce the number of global flags/collectables I can add to the game.

Yes, I'd also love to know about this. I have some ideas about users being able to do customisations and I'd like them to be able to save this. I don't see the harm in allowing for this if it makes the user experience nicer. It would make my main idea a lot more fun I think.

Host(+1)

The goal is to have a single cartridge for all the games in the game jam.

If you use RAM, your games are not excluded, but well, it will be a problem for the cartridge.

Added a explanation with our multi-card-idea at the end of the jam-description.
