  • It's a pity, because the rules could be included in the game... It's fluid and the programming seems impeccable in relation to the game's rules. On the other hand, there's no music and the graphics are very minimalist (though effective in view of the game and its readability).
  • I’m really sorry, but I absolutely didn’t understand the game at all. It’s true that it’s neither attractive nor addictive, and technically it’s very, very basic. I just couldn’t figure out the concept of the game. I saw that you can play with two players, but using the same controller, which is a bit of a shame. So I gave one star across the board, but only because I truly didn’t understand the game. Also, technically, it’s extremely minimalistic.

Cool ideal! I like for your work.

I scooped up all the initial submits everyone made, so I only played your first version. There wasn't much game there at that point unfortunately!

I think the concept of the game is difficult to get across without the external links you added, making it a bit out of scope for pick-up and play. I hope you finish it up, and maybe integrate some more tutorialization into the final build!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm pretty happy with the version (v0.5) that is currently uploaded and playable embedded in the itch page, so hopefully you get a chance to take a quick look at it just to understand the direction I was heading.

I chose Mancala, a board game, to make it intuitive for someone who has played before. It's my first SNES game, so I tried to minimize the dependence on specific hardware features in favor of simply completing a project. But Mancala has the same pitfall as implementing Chess: if you know the game, then there's no need for a tutorial, but if you've never played then it can be completely incomprehensible 😢
