2d graphic adventure (point and click) tutorials?

Hello! I have always wanted to make a  2d graphic adventure point and click style and this seems like the perfect opportunity!
However, I don't seem to find any guides or tutorials (all of them seem to be for 3d and I honestly have no idea how to move that to 2d)

"Prior to the jam, Senscape will be offering training sessions for beginner and advanced developers" when will this be and how can I communicate this doubt to the team? Only if they can help me with this question of course!

Thanks!

Host

Hi there, Sasha! Well, the focus of the training will be on 3D, but Unreal most definitely supports 2D as well, and we could point you in the right direction during that week of pre-production. In fact, two of the major games in our previous jam were 2D, for example Sacrificial Lighthouse: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1468220/Sacrificial_Lighthouse

Also, we’ll be providing support in our Discord community as well – it’s a good place to ask about this: https://discord.gg/senscape

Thank you so much! I ask there then

2D Point & Click game are possible in Unreal Engine 4, heck I create one for last year GameJam https://olinkalex.itch.io/cage-face-subway

Ohh wow, that's amazing! Can I ask where did you find information on that?

Hi Sasha!
Have you joined our Discord server yet?
Our classes are shown via twitch, plus we have professional Unreal instructors that help participants on our server.

I have actually but haven't asked yet because I'm not 100% I can participate on this jam yet!

But I'll ask nonetheless, even if I don't finish a game I can learn something new!

Hello again, were should I ask for help? There seems not to be a chanel for that?

Jam Judge

Hi Sasha,
For now, the dev-chat channel. We will have our Jam channels up next week, but we have Indies on our server that help others all the time.
There's a lot of channels, I know :-)

Ask right here:

Our jam channels will be public soon.

I pretty much figured it out on my own, I look at how some people did certain coding for non-Point-&-Click games for references and was pretty much able to make a point-and-click game from my experience with the game Engine.

If that link does not work properly here is the full link:
http://discord.gg/senscape
Then look down on the server to dev-chat.
I will monitor the channels and look for you and help there too.

By the way, your portfolio is beautiful, very nice art!
