Pretty interesting! Honestly, I expected the person to explode sooner or later, but I guess the eating is endless :D The gameplay is simple but addictive, and the aesthetics are pretty cool. Good job!

Thank you so much! :)

Really glad that you liked it.

Playing this gave me a huge stomach ache. Simple, fun, and the concept is fairly disturbing to think about as you're playing.

Developer

Yes! That was the goal. :D I'm so glad it came through..

Thank you so much for playing. Glad you liked it.

i like simple concepts like this one, and the combos made the gameplay sort of addictive. The transformations were cool. Didn't like the fact that the guy disappears never to be seen again, i kept going past 43 to reach some kind of conclusion till i gave up. i would communicate the fact that nothing is going to change by making the dude explode or die, and the extra food just stacks up (thus keeping the infinity theme).

Great entry

Thank you so much!! :D

If you're talking about how the escape button ends the game with no restart, yeah, I did mull over it but decided I wanted that sense of finality to the good/bad endings.  EDIT: Sorry, this is a bug; just found out about it. I'll fix it soon.

..and yeah, I really need to communicate the fact that nothing else will change at a point but was avoiding strong signages. Since the theme I was trying to pull off was the horror of human curiosity to the point of causing harm I felt it was served better with the corpse just being there though I agree that  keeping players engaged with hopes for more progression isn't good. I was thinking of maybe gradually changing the colour of the sprite to still retain that feedback but nudge players into realising that this is it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on that and maybe more if you find the time.

But thanks again. I really appreciate your comments! :)

Simple and addictive. I got to level 45, I didn't know i had to press esc either. I did achieve the good ending in my second playthrough though. The guy thanked me.

Really happy to hear that you found the good and bad endings! :)

I thank you too for playing. haha!

I go to lvl 50 before realizing what the esc button did. I thought the game would end so I never pressed it until I was like "there is no way there is anything more" idk if there is a better way to communicate that without spoiling it doesnt end but also like... maybe I am just a mean person who never thought to just stop feeding the poor guy. Is there any other images after lvl 50? because if so I think thats a little absurd. its takes so long to level up after like 35. Unless that ties into the Infinity theme in which case it makes sense but I thought something would happen and it never did.

Developer

Yeah, the bloodied image was the last one.. I did want to add in a last fade out effect but ran out of time though either way I did run into the problem of communicating the 'end' without spoiling it.

So the idea was that if you ended the game(pressing the esc button) before the final stages you'd end it properly and kind of 'spare' the guy.. otherwise you get stuck in the loop and the escape button doesn't do what it should anymore.. kinda like being stuck in an addiction.. no escape! ..though even that had problems.
I'd like to hear more of your thoughts if you've got the time.

But anyway, thanks a bunch for playing. :)
