This is really good, I had a lot of fun with it! You said it was unfinished in your comment but I think it's really solid for a jam game, great work!

the combination of 3D and 2D graphics is really cool! the sound also fit into the scene. maybe after the jam ends, you can add a in-game instruction, it really helps. overall, good game!

Developer

This is just a game jam version I will make a better full release:D. Thanks for playing!!

Good idea! Not many horror games have a guy doing home repairs as a main character. I just wish it was easier navigating the house, since there's no flashlight and only a few light sources. I had trouble finding the keys and a way to get power back to the house. This still has potential for something great though.

Developer

There is actually a flashlight on 1. I guess I should have added instructions in the game, but I didn't have time. Instructions are on the game page.

Nice concept! Graphics and sound are very atmospheric. I didn't get far into the game for technical reasons: I'm running it via WINE on a Linux system and, whilst it launches okay, the frame is very low (only a few frames per sec). This isn't your fault, it's potluck whether a game works with WINE or not! The audio was fine though, and I saw enough to see it's cool game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for putting up with a low frame rate xD. For the full release I will definitely look into making a mac and linux versions!

Looks cool. I liked the visuals and the sound work. But it seems I caught a bug because of which I can’t go further. On the first floor there is a door after which a message comes and these messages are empty. After that I went around everything several times but still couldn’t find where else I could go.

Developer

It's cuz I used the same script as the entrance door but I didn't fill it. You are supposed to get the keys for that door.

I love this style of game and think this concept is amazing, from the art style to the little bits of story scrambled about. The game does have a few bugs and glitches, and I sincerely hope those will be fixed in the full release. I am quite excited to see the finished version and what you do with the story.

interesting game concept and idea, i enjoyed the start with the car, the message system is a little rough but works, the aesthetics are cool, and i like the simplicity

i could not finish and got stuck in the door with the woman screaming(the door didn’t open) :D

nice game

Developer(+1)

Hahahh the screaming woman is a boss fight xD. I know that it seems you are not doing any damage to her but you are, you can see that as you deal more and more damage she becomes faster and faster. I'm happy you and other people enjoyed the game!

ahhh i see, it need a little hit feedback because i was very confuse if i was doing any damage or not

Great job dude! Definitely made the game easier once i read all the controls hahaha great use of building tension!

I enjoyed the charming graphics, atmospheric darkness, detailed sound design (like different footstep sounds), and the PS1-inspired style with animations. The phone mechanic adds tension, especially when using it instead of a flashlight, and I liked the idea of exploring and finding hidden rooms. The endless basement corridor was chilling, and I liked that the game doesn't end with a simple death screen but turns into a horror-survival experience with a brutal finishing scene. Although the final fight was a bit anticlimactic, the game shows serious potential as a powerful horror game. I’m curious about the missing tape, so please let me know when it’s complete—I’d love to play it again. Thanks for the experience!

I played it and i need to be honest, it was actually pretty good game, when i opened it i thought it was going to be some short game with no story. But then i realised i was wrong, it has pretty nice graphics and good house interior, and a good story i am really curious about the next part of the story.

Now sorry if a am being rude, but you really need to reduce the sounds in the game a bit  its really loud. I was in the call with my friend and i couldn't hear anything he said xD

keep going you have my support :)

I like the aesthetics of the game and how it sounded :)
How do I get to the exclamation mark in the kitchen? I found all of the other ones but I couldn't figure out what to do with the one in the kitchen.

To those about to play:
I accidently closed the game a couple of times trying to pause, so be careful of pushing escape :P.
Also make sure you look at the itch page, you will need the controls on there to progress

I'm sorry that you couldn't report the broken pipe in the kitchen. To do it you'll have to jump and press T. I'll make sure to fix it and post a fix. Thank you for playing the game! :D
