Guessing from that picture that it was probably poy getting his extra base value from those dogs, which interacted with the classified slot to get you that extra value.

Yeh for sure I agree, in the far future I am planning on a kind of "ascension" system like STS to add difficulty if players want it.
But for now, I have put in an adjustable difficulty you can choose just before you start your second run.
Let me know how you go with the ":o!!!" difficulty, I haven't seen many people try it so I would be interested to hear how it feels :P
The way we did the 3D dice was to roll 3D cubes (with a 3d sprite on each face) in a subviewport, and render that on top of the rest of the game.
To get which face was up, we just calculated which sprite had the highest position when it stopped rolling.

Yeh for sure, I would have loved to build out the defence part if I had time.
I was a bit worried about making it too hard for someone who will probably only play for a short time. So I really erred on the side of making them mostly aesthetic, and not a real threat so people could finish the whole map without too much hassle.
But I do think the game would be improved overall (at least for players like me) by making the enemies way stronger and have them really overwhelm the players a few times before they can win.
